Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel and meet your Xian local guide in the hotel lobby at around 8:30 am. Today you will gain interesting insights about Xian’s heritages.
Start your day tour of Xian at the Banpo Museum, the first prehistoric site museum in China. This site reveals the production, lifestyle, customs, and habits of a typical Neolithic period dating back over 6000 years. The tour guide will take you to explore houses, cellars, tools, painted pottery and other artworks to glimpse into the lives of the Banpo people along the Yellow River.
After that, you will be transferred to the most famous attraction in Xian – the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”, it is a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring life-sized warriors, and many horses and chariots. Your guide will lead you to visit the Pits 1, 2 and 3 of the Terracotta Army and explain the stories behind them to you.
Finish the Terracotta Army tour and have lunch at a local restaurant. You can state some special dishes that only Xian offers.
In the afternoon, drive back to downtown Xian. In the city center, you will climb the Ancient City Wall. From the imposing structure, you can get a panoramic view of Xian. It is one of the largest and most well-preserved city walls in China. Take a leisure walk or rent a bike (optional) on the top of the wall.
After the sightseeing, your driver and guide will escort you back to your downtown hotel. End of your 1-day private guided Xian day tour.
