This 4-day tour will show you the profound historical and cultural deposit of Xian by visiting the Terracotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, City Wall, and Xian Museum, and allow you to savor foods like Bread Pieces Soaked in Lamb/Beef Soup and Biang Biang noodles. You will also have a chance to learn how to make dumplings in a local family. Join this cultural and culinary tour to travel off the beaten track and have a different experience in Xian.

  1. Upon your arrival in Xian, our local driver will greet you at Xian airport by holding a welcome board with your name and then transfer you to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is at your disposal.

    If time permits, we recommend trying China's most famous hot pot restaurant, Hai Di Lao. We recommend the branch in Saige Shopping Center or the one in North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda so that you can shop as well as wander around, as customers usually have to wait about 30 minutes or more for their hot pot.

AM: In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and escort you to the first stop Big Wild Goose Pagoda, an iconic ancient structure dating back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Standing at 64 meters, it offers visitors a glimpse into the city's rich history. Explore the pagoda's interior, housing Buddhist scriptures and artifacts, and ascend its levels for panoramic views of Xi'an. Afterwards, you will visit the ancient Xian City Wall, a testament to China's historical grandeur, which is a well-preserved fortification dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Encompassing the heart of Xi'an, this colossal structure spans 13.7 kilometers and offers a picturesque stroll or bike ride along its ramparts. Visitors can marvel at the city's skyline, explore watchtowers, and appreciate the architectural brilliance.

    Noon: You have two choices for lunch:

    1. Visit a local family and have lunch with the family. You will have a lesson on dumpling making or famous Chinese cuisine cooking. If you like, you also can prepare lunch with the host and enjoy your fruits of labor.

    2. Have lunch in Laosunjia Restaurant where you could try the best Bread Pieces Soaked in Lamb/Beef Soup. Other local foods like noodles and cold dishes are also worth trying.

    In the afternoon, pay a visit to Xi'an Museum. The large number of historical & cultural relics in the museum will tell you the history of Xi'an. Within the museum grounds, see the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, an elegant structure that stands as a testament to ancient Chinese craftsmanship and spirituality. Next, take a walk in the Muslim Quarter to explore the best-known food street in Xian. You will find lots of local snacks here. Our guide will introduce and recommend food and restaurants according to your interests.

  3. In the morning, your guide and driver will collect you from the hotel for an immersive journey into folk culture and local cuisine. A 1.5-hour drive takes you to Yuajiacun Village, where admission is complimentary. Here, you'll witness the enchanting Qin Opera Show, savor authentic regional dishes, and engage in hands-on experiences like milling flour, cloth weaving, vinegar-making, and soybean grinding for Tofu production. The village is replete with local eateries, and our guide will suggest the finest ones as you explore the charming streets. Lunch won't be confined to a predetermined restaurant, so you can try as many kinds of local food as you like.

    In the afternoon, we will drive to the famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses. The archaeological marvel was crafted over 2,000 years ago to guard China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, in the afterlife. This vast assembly includes intricately detailed warriors and horses, each possessing unique facial features and expressions. Unearthed in 1974 near Xi'an, this ancient army stands as a testament to the remarkable craftsmanship and the imperial ambitions of the Qin Dynasty (221-207 BC).

    In the evening, you will go to a theater to taste delicious dumping dinner and enjoy a spectacular Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. The show will end at about 21:10. The guide and driver will escort you back to the hotel.

  4. Enjoy your leisurely morning. Then our local driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby and transfer you to the airport according to your flight schedule.
