- Day 1: Chengdu – Xian by Bullet TrainTerracotta Warriors and Horses (No meal)
AM: In the morning at 07:30, your driver in Chengdu will meet you in hotel lobby and transfer to Chengdu East Railway Station for the train D1918/09:00-12:25 (or a train with similar schedule) to Xian. Please get off at Xian North Railway Station. The Chengdu local guide will greet you at the exit by holding a welcome board with your name.
Noon: Lunch will be at your own expense (please feel free to ask your guide for suggestions)
PM: Then you will board the private car to start the Terracotta Warriors tour. After a 40-50 minutes’ driving, you will arrive to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Terracotta Warriors and Horses is known as “the Eighth Wonders of the World” with a surprisingly high level in sculpture. It is located 30 km east of the Xi’an City and the original site was found by four local farmers while drilling a well in 1974. Now it has turned into one of the most important attractions in China and the No.1 attractive site in Xi’an. The museum includes Pit 1(the largest pit), Pit 2, Pit 3, and the exhibition hall of the chariots and horses. You will stay in the museum for 2-3 hours. Listening to the explanation from the expert tour guide, you will learn the hidden story of those live-sized sculptures and history of their owner: First Emperor of Qin who is also the first emperor of China. Then come to Bell Tower & Drum Tower Square to have an outer look of the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower. At last, go to visit Muslim Quarter, the most famous food street in Xian.
After the visit you will be escorted back to your hotel in Xian.

- Day 2: Xian – Chengdu by Bullet TrainCity Wall, Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Lunch)
AM: Our tour guide and driver will pick up you from your hotel at 08:00, and then transfer you to visit Xian Ancient City Wall which is the most completely preserved and the largest city wall in China. It was built for the military defense in the Ming Dynasty, 1370 A.D. Since it is cycling the Xian city, visitors can ride a bike around the city wall which is optional (cost on your own, CNY45p.p).
Then you will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was originally built to hold Buddhist sutra and figurines of the Buddha that Xuanzang brought back from India in Tang Dyansty, 652 A.D. Now there is a big square divided into North Square and South Square, surrounding the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The design of the buidlings and statues is in Tang style, showing people the ever glory of that great time. It’s busier in the evening when many activities with Tang elements held by local amateur.
Noon: Lunch in a local restaurant.
PM: After lunch you will be escorted back to Xian North Train Station for the return train D1941/15:20-19:27 (or a train with similar schedule) back to Chengdu. Please get off the train at Chengdu East Railway Station. Your driver in Chengdu will meet you at exit and transfer you back to your Chengdu hotel.
