Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Zhangjiajie
   Cable Car Ride with Beautiful Natural Views & Exhilarating Cliffside Walkways

   Welcome to our 2-day Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Tour! Upon your arrival, our guide will meet you by holding a welcome board. Then, we will directly drive to the cableway base, where you will take a cable car to the top of Tianmen Mountain (1,518.6 meters), the highest mountain in the Yongding District of Zhangjiajie.

   Tianmen Mountain, a typical karst landscape, is named after the natural wonder Tianmen Cave. The cableway you ride is 7,445 meters long and is considered the longest in the world. The one-way cable car ride takes about 28 minutes. It is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the picturesque view of the mountain.

   

   Once you reach the top, you will be guided to experience some exhilarating attractions such as Glass Skywalk and Ghost Valley Plank Road, both of which are suspended above the cliffs. Feel your adrenaline rush!

   After that, you will visit Tianmen Mountain Temple, surrounded by ancient trees and a tranquil environment. Finally, you will descend to Tianmen Cave, the representative attraction of Tianmen Mountain Scenic Spot. As the world's highest natural cave through the mountain, Tianmen Cave seems like a door to heaven. After the visit, you will be taken by sightseeing bus down the mountain along the 99 Bend Road - a scenic ring road.

   Afterwards, your driver will escort you to your downtown hotel for check-in.

   You are suggested to book your arrival flight before 1:00 pm.

   Due to the heavy snow or severe cold weather in winter, Ghost Valley Plank Road and Tianmen Cave may be closed. Your guide and travel consultant will adjust your itinerary accordingly.

2. Day 2: Zhangjiajie Departure
   Enjoy Picturesque Walks and Natural Beauty at Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

   At around 08:00 am, our tour guide and driver will greet you at your hotel lobby. Then, you will be escorted to visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. In 1992, it was selected as the World Natural Heritage Site. In the 4810-hectare forest, the park stands about 3,000 grotesque peaks.

   You will take a cable car up to the top of Huangshi Village. It is the largest and most scenic sightseeing stand in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Among Chinese people, there is a saying “One will not find the most essence beauty of Zhangjiajie without a visit to Huangshi Village.”

   Next, you will move on to the eastern part of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - Golden Whip Stream. It is one of the most beautiful sites in Zhangjiajie, named after the Golden Whip Rock it flows through. Golden Whip Stream is 7.5 kilometers long, and it takes about 2 and a half to 3 hours to visit. With beautiful flowers and grasses along the stream, birds and warblers singing, walking along the clear stream is better than traveling in a painting.

   After the visit, your 2-day private Zhangjiajie tour ends here. Your guide and driver will transfer you to catch your departure flight. Bon voyage! You are advised to take the flight departing after 8:00 pm.
