2 Days Best Chengdu Tour with Luodai Town

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Chengdu Highlights Tour

   Your private guide will meet you at 8:00 am in your hotel's lobby in the morning. Then we will drive to Chengdu's most popular site - Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The goal of this base is to protect and breed endangered wild animals unique to China, such as giant and red pandas. This breeding base simulates a wild ecological environment with features such as lakes, streams, bamboo forests, and lawns. They have several facilities for pandas - delivery rooms, breeding areas, research centers, etc. The park has many adorable giant pandas that you can watch and observe during their daily activities.

   

   Next, you will be transported to visit Wenshu Temple. It is a calm, Buddhist temple. There are more than 300 Buddha statues enshrined in the temple, made of different materials, such as steel, gauze, wood carving, stone carving, clay sculpture, etc. One of the Buddha statues is particularly precious—it comes from Myanmar in jade.

   In the afternoon, be led to witness the local life in Chengdu. People's Park is the main leisure place where you can see people dancing, ear cleaning, and playing mahjong. The park also has attractions such as Jinshui Creek, Goldfish Island, and Bonsai Garden for visitors. Jinli Street has been famous throughout the country as early as the Qin and Han dynasties. Walking on the busy street, there are delicious special snacks everywhere such as Dandan Noodles, Zhong Dumplings, BO BO Chicken, and Rabbit Head. If you're lucky, you can see folk art performances. After the tour, we will take you back to your downtown hotel.

2. Day 2: Luodai Ancient Town from Chengdu

   In the morning, we drive for an hour to Luodai Ancient Town, the largest Hakka town in western China having a permanent Hakkas population of over 95%. Hakka people settled in Luodai in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties and reproduced for hundreds of years to develop a unique Hakka customs and cultures. You can see many distinctive Hakka houses, exhibition halls, and ancestral halls. Walk into them and feel the rich Hakka traditions. Also, there are many stalls selling Hakka's local souvenirs and snacks in the town.

   

   Following the visit, transfer to Luodai Great Wall, formerly Jinlong (Golden Dragon) Great Wall, named after its location in Jinlong Town. The Great Wall is 1680 meters in length, 4 meters in height, and 3 meters in width. It is equipped with 5 beacon towers. You will also see landscapes such as lakes and forests in the scenic area. After the visit to Chengdu over the two days, you will return to your hotel in the city.
