Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu

   Welcome to Chengdu, the hometown of China's national treasure, the giant panda. After arriving at the airport, the local driver (no tour guide today) will pick you up at the exit of the arrival hall with a sign that reads "China Xian Tour". After your meeting, you will be sent to a hotel in the city center for check-in. You can arrange the rest of the time freely.

   It is recommended that you take a stroll in Kuanzhai Alley, which is a commercial street with relatively well-preserved architectural styles from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Here you can taste some authentic Sichuan snacks, characterized by a "ma la" combination of numbing and spicy tastes.

2. Day 2: Chengdu City Highlights
   Local Life, Culture & Panda Experience

   Today's agenda combines wildlife, culture, and daily ways of living. Having breakfast at the recommended hour, the topic begins with an early move to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. This is the best time to view the pandas when they are earliest in the day and most active. After breakfast, wander paths lined with bamboo to get close to adorable giant pandas and red pandas as they eat, climb, and play. Do not miss the Panda Museum located inside the park, where you can learn about conservation efforts, breeding programs, and the evolution of the panda.

   Afterwards continue to People's Park: a public space loved by locals, and a reflection of the easy-going lifestyle for which Chengdu is famous. Take an unhurried walk, see people playing mahjong, dancing, and any teahouses for Gaiwan tea. You could also partake in a local classic experience - ear cleaning. Don’t fret, it is done by professionals.

   

   In the afternoon, visit the Wuhou Temple, an important site commemorating Zhuge Liang (a character representing cleverness and wisdom in Chinese folklore) and the heroes of the Three Kingdoms (220-280). Wander the quieter courtyards, see the old cypress trees, and learn about those stories of loyalty, strategy, and history from some of the relics. We will spend 2-3 hours at Wuhou Temple.

   The last stop is Jinli Street, one of Chengdu’s most atmospheric old quarters. Stroll through lantern-lit alleys lined with traditional facades, snack on local treats, shop for handicrafts, and enjoy live folk performances. It’s the perfect place to absorb Chengdu’s lively culture before returning to your hotel.

3. Day 3: Chengdu to Xiling Snow Mountain
   Panoramic High-Altitude Views and Fun Snow Activities

   After breakfast, you check out the hotel room in Chengdu. Next, drive for around 2.5 hours to the Xiling Snow Mountain Ski Resort. This resort is located on the sloping area behind Xiling Snow Mountain that has an elevation ranging from 2,200 to 2,400 meters. This southwest China winter's top-notch amusement park offers five designated areas for beginner skiers (with a combined length of 3 kilometers) and 1 medium level ski track (2 kilometers long).

   Once you get there; you will ride the cable car up to Riyueping, Sun and Moon Platform at 3,260 meters high. The top will provide you with a view of the snow-inhabited forest and the sparkling ridge. Be very impressed by the clean mountain air and the panoramic view.

   Back at the base, a variety of snow activities await you. Try activities such as alpine skiing, snowmobiles and dog sledding. Please note that all snow sports are at your own expense (NOT included in this tour packag).

   Tonight, you will check in at the comfortable resort.

4. Day 4: Xiling Snow Mountain Back to Chengdu
   A Relaxing Day with Soothing Hot Spring

   After breakfast, you can return to the ski resort to enjoy more skiing and other interesting snow activities. If you want a slow morning, simply relax in your hotel or breathe in the fresh air of the mountains.

   After that, go down the mountain and head to Huashuiwan Hot Spring Town, which is famous for its mineral-rich hot springs. This town was once rated as one of the "Most Livable towns" in China. Centered on natural hot springs, with a temperature reaching 68℃, it contains over 20 kinds of trace elements such as iodine and strontium, and has medical and health care functions. It can warm the body and soothe tired muscles, especially after snow activities.

   Finally, your driver will escort you back to the hotel in Chengdu.

5. Day 5: Departure from Chengdu
