2 Days Luoyang Tour from Beijing by High-speed Train

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Beijing – Luoyang by High-speed Train G651(7:05/11:07)
   Longmen Grottoes, Luoyang Museum (Lunch)

   AM: Pick up from your hotel in Beijing by our driver and transfer to catch high-speed train G651(7:05/11:07) to Luoyang. Upon arrival, the tour guide will meet you at Luoyang Longmen Station.

   Noon: Lunch at local restaurant.

   PM: After lunch, transfer to visit Longmen Grottoes, which is a treasure house of ancient stone-carving art more than 100,000 stone statues here, varying from 2-centimeter to 17.14-meter high, and extending for about 1,094 yards along both banks of Yi River. Next, we will come to Luoyang Museum. It is a historical museum of China and houses over 1,700 cultural and historical relics in 5 showrooms — a presentation of 5 different social development periods such as the Primitive Society, the Slavery Society, and the Feudal Society. Stay overnight in Luoyang.

2. Day 2: Luoyang-Beijing by High-speed train G668 (18:48/22:56)
   White Horse Hemple, Shaolin Temple (Lunch)

   AM: After hotel pick up by guide, head to White Horse Temple. Established by Emperor Mingdi in the year 68 AD, it is the first Buddhist temple in China and enjoys the reputation of the No.1 Ancient Temple of China.

   Noon: Lunch at local restaurant.

   

   PM: Next, we will move on to visit the Shaolin Temple which is well-known for the birthplace of Chinese Zen Buddhism and Shaolin Martial Arts .You cannot wait for watching the Kongfu Show performance as the saying goes ‘All martial arts (gongfu) are from Shaolin.’ The Shaolin martial arts are an important part of the relics. Transfer back to Luoyang Longmen station and take high-speed train G668(18:48/22:56) back to Beijing. Upon arrival, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
