Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Tianjin Port – Beijing By Car
   Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Hutong (L)

   AM: Upon your arrival at Tianin Port, our driver will pick you up from the exit gate by holding a welcome board with your name. Drive around 2.5 hours to Beijing city to meet the local English speaking tour guide.

   Noon: A local Chinese style lunch will be waiting for you!

   PM: After lunch, your exploration begins with Temple of Heaven. Located at southern part of Beijing, it served as a complex of sacrificial building where emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest. Next we will move on to Summer Palace. It is located at the west skirt of Beijing and covers an area of 290 hectares. During the Qianlong Era of the Qing Dynasty, the Summer Palace was built by imitating the layout of the West Lake in Hangzhou. Now it is the largest and most completely preserved imperial garden in China. Today’s tour will conclude with the old Hutong where you will meet nice local residents and take a rickshaw ride to have a glimpse of the old Beijing. Finishing the sightseeing, transfer to local hotel for check in.

2. Day 2: Beijing
   Dingling, Mutianyu Great Wall (B + L)

   AM: After hotel breakfast, meet your guide and driver at your hotel lobby. First we will drive about 2 hours to visit Mutianyu Great Wall for about 1 hour. It would be a good chance to see the urban and suburban scenery of Chinese capital. Mutianyu Great Wall is the most scenic part of Chinese Great Wall. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty at 1368 and stretches for 5400 meters. 90 percent of the Mutianyu is covered by vegetation. So in each season this part of the Great Wall will treat visitors with its unique scenery. If hiking is too much for you, cable car is available and optional (cost on your own).

   Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

   PM: After lunch, head to visit the Ming Tomb and see the underground palace of Dingling (one of the 13 Ming Dynasty Imperial Mausoleums). Dingling is the tomb of Emperor Shenzong, Zhuyijun, who reigned the nation for 48 years as the longest-serving monarch among all Ming emperors.

   Finally, drive back to your hotel.

3. Day 3: Beijing – Tianjin Port by Car
   Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City (B + L)

   AM: At 08:30, our English tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel lobby. Please take all your belongs and check out the hotel as we will directly drive to Tianjin Port after the morning tour finished.

   Today’s first stop is Tiananmen Square, the heart and symbol of Beijing and the largest city square in the world. The spacious square has been used for many public celebrations, ceremonies, and demonstrations for over a hundred years. Later, walk to Forbidden City, one of the largest and most completely preserved palace complex built of wood. It functioned as the imperial palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912). 24 emperors of the two dynasties once lived here.

   Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

   PM: After lunch, say goodbye to your tour guide, the driver will take care of you and all your belongs to transfer back to the Tianjin Port for your cruise.
