Day 2: Yong’an Stream Drifting
Second Stop: Yong’an Stream
We moved to the Yong’an Stream for drifting under the mist-shrouded sky, RMB40/person for entrance tickets. The helmsman told us that it would take about 2 hours to finish the drifting. Yong’an Stream is the mother river of Xianju County.
Drifting on the clear water, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of big cities, the blue sky, fresh air and crystal water make us feel a rare inner peace.
There are still many other tourist attractions in Xianju. If time is available, you may visit the Xingyan Scenic Spot which is famous for steep peaks, the Danzhu Scenic Spot which is renowned for primeval forest, and the Xianju Gongyu Mountain which is hailed as the “Shangri-la of Zhejiang”.
Last Stop:Fantan Town
After the visiting, we head to the old town of Fantan which is located about 25km west of Xianju County. Early in 998 B.C., this place had became a prosperous town along Yong’an Stream due to the convenient waterway transportation. Almost one thousand years later, the town still remains the dragon shaped road which was paved with cobblestones. Along the street, there are a large number of ancient residences which were built in Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.Highly recommended to visit if you a water-town lover.
