Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Lijiang
   Explore Lijiang Old Town's Rich History and Naxi Culture

   Welcome to our 6-day Lijiang Shangri-La tour in Yunnan. Meet your private driver at Lijiang Sanyi International Airport, who will escort you to your hotel in Lijiang Old Town. The rest of the time is free for you to explore the ancient town.

   Lijiang Ancient Town, more than 800 years ago, is one of the most famous towns on the Tea-horse Ancient Road, which was quite prosperous during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The ancient city is full of wooden buildings, stone bridges, and running water. Visitors standing on East Street can look up at the spectacular Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. You can find ethnic jewelry, tea, silverware, shawls, etc., and feel the strong Naxi ethnic style here.

2. Day 2: Lijiang Tour with Club Med Lijiang Retreat
   Discover Naxi Heritage and Breathtaking Mountain Views

   Start your Lijiang tour with a visit to the Dongba Culture Museum, where you can find more than 12,000 artifacts that fully demonstrate the mysterious Dongba culture of the Naxi people.

   Next, be guided to explore the Black Dragon Pool Park for breathtaking views of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Admire a stunning wooden pavilion - the Five-Phoenix Tower, showcasing the Han, Tibetan, Bai, and Naxi architectural influences.

   

   Continue your tour to Yuhu Village. Located at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the village is the birthplace of the Naxi ethnic group and has a rich history and culture.

   Later on, come to visit Baisha Old Town, a beautiful traditional Naxi-style old town. Baisha Murals here are the must-see sites that have been enrolled in the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO 1997.

   You can taste local and international cuisine at three different restaurants. Experience the fun of an indoor water park with an area of 1500 square meters, including slides, swimming pools, and water games, suitable for people of all ages. You can also experience the fascinating Naxi cultural heritage by appreciating traditional dances and music.

   

   In addition, breathe fresh mountain air during a natural walk. Of course, activities such as yoga, Tai Chi classes, golf, or tennis are also available at Club Med Lijiang. 4. Day 4: Lijiang to Shangri-La Tour
   Marvel at the Dramatic Bend of Yangtze River and Hike the Tiger Leaping Gorge

   After breakfast, say goodbye to Club Med Lijiang and start your Yunnan trip to Shangri-La, the mythical paradise. En route, we will stop at the First Bend of the Yangtze River. This is a spectacle - the Yangtze River rushes down from the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, suddenly taking a sharp turn of over 100 degrees here, forming a rare "V" - shaped bend. Your tour guide will explain more about it.

   Keep driving to the famous Tiger Leaping Gorge. One of the deepest gorges in the world, it measures 3,900 meters from the waters of the Jinsha River to the Haba Snow Mountain. You will see the huge Tiger Leaping Rock. It is said that a tiger once leaped from one side of the gorge to the other with this rock. This is the reason why the gorge is called "Tiger Leaping Gorge". You will only explore the Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge section, experiencing the breathtaking scenery and rushing rapids.

   After that, we drive to Shangri-La. Check in and have a good rest at your hotel.

5. Day 5: Shangri-La Highlights Tour
   Immerse in Tibetan Culture and Enjoy Natural Wonders

   Shangri-La has a totally different appearance from the past places where you will start to meet Tibetan elements. The first site today is Songzanlin Monastery which is the largest Tibetan monastery in the Yunnan area and is famed as the "Small Potala Palace". It was built along the hillside, looking like an old castle, showing the brilliant construction technology of Tibet.

   

   In the afternoon, drive about 30km to the picturesque Pudacuo National Park. The park is definitely a priceless gift from nature: with an altitude between 3,500 meters and 4,159 meters, it collects rich natural resources including geology and landforms, lake wetlands, meadows, rivers and valleys, and rare plants and animals. The amazing scenery here will make you can't stop the camera in your hands and marvel at this wonderland.

   After that, pay a visit to a local Tibetan family for an authentic cultural experience and enjoy a homemade dinner.

   In the evening, return to your hotel to relax.

6. Day 6: Shangri-La Departure
   Admire Tibetan Architecture, Enjoy Panoramic Views from Guishan Hill

   Start today's Shangri-La tour with an exploration of Dukezong Old Town. Explore cobbled streets and traditional Tibetan architecture, gaining insights into local customs. The Old Town Square offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

   

   Besides, you can walk up to the top of Guishan Hill to appreciate the typical Tibetan-style view - Prayer Wheel. From there, you will have a bird-view of Shangri-La County and Duzekong Ancient Town.
