Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Guiyang Arrival

   Upon your arrival in Guiyang, your guide and driver will warmly welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Take some time to relax and settle in. In the afternoon, you have the freedom to explore the city at your own pace. We highly recommend visiting Jiaxiu Pavilion, known for its tranquil surroundings and exquisite architecture. The pavilion offers breathtaking views of the city and serves as a serene retreat for visitors seeking solace and natural beauty.

2. Day 2: Guiyang - Anshun
   Huangguoshu Waterfall, Doupotang Scenic Area, Tianxingqiao Scenic Area

   After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area, one of the most stunning waterfalls in China. Your first stop will be the Doupotang Scenic Area, where you can admire the natural beauty of water cascading down terraced cliffs and tranquil pools. Board the sightseeing bus to continue your journey to Tianxingqiao Scenic Area, famous for its unique stone bridges and karst formations.

   Finally, you will reach the main highlight of the day, Huangguoshu Waterfall, the largest waterfall in the waterfall group, surrounded by peaks, dense vegetation, gorges, caves, and stone pillars. There are 6 viewing platforms, allowing visitors to appreciate the waterfall from the front, back, above, below, left, and right. Put on a raincoat and walk into the Waterfall Cave to get up close and personal with the waterfall, which is something else.

   

   After the tour, your guide and driver will accompany you to Anshun, where you will check in to your hotel and spend the night.

3. Day 3: Anshun - Kaili
   Dragon Palace, Qingyan Ancient Town

   Today's adventure begins with a 1-hour drive to Dragon Palace Scenic Area. Hop on a boat and enter the mystical Dragon Palace, a limestone cave adorned with stalactites, stalagmites, and underground streams. Witness the mesmerizing Dragon Gate Waterfall as it plunges into the cave, creating a breathtaking spectacle.

   

   Afterwards, you will be transferred to Qingyan Ancient Town, located in South Guiyang. Explore the ancient town's well-preserved Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture, stroll through narrow streets, and visit historical sites such as temples, ancestral halls, and city walls. Later in the day, you will head to Kaili, a vibrant city known for its ethnic minority cultures and traditional crafts. Enjoy an evening of leisure in Kaili and spend the night.

4. Day 4: Kaili - Tongren
   Upper Langde Miao Village, Matang Gejia Village

   Immerse yourself in the unique cultural heritage of the Miao ethnic minority today. Your first destination is Upper Langde Miao Village, where you will receive a traditional welcome ceremony by the locals dressed in colorful traditional attire. Experience their rich cultural traditions, witness traditional performances, and explore their distinctive wooden stilt houses.

   

   Next, you will be transferred to Matang Gejia Village, where you will learn the art of batik, a traditional wax-resist dyeing technique. Engage with local artisans and create your own batik masterpiece. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic 3-hour drive to the foot of Fanjingshan in Tongren City, where you will spend the night.

5. Day 5: Fanjingshan - Tongren
   Mushroom Stone, Old Golden Summit, Cheng'en Temple, Red Clouds Golden Summit

   Today is dedicated to exploring the majestic Fanjingshan Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After breakfast, you will be driven to the entrance of Fanjing Mountain National Nature Reserve. Hop on a sightseeing bus that will take you to Yu'ao Station, where you will board a cable car.

   Enjoy a breathtaking 20-minute ride through the mountainous terrain, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. Once you arrive at the cable car station, embark on a hiking adventure. The first leg of the hike will take you approximately 45 minutes along the Forest Hiking Road, leading to the Mushroom Stone, a unique rock formation resembling a mushroom.

   

   Continue hiking for about 30 minutes to reach the Old Golden Summit. It is really worth your hike as you will see the breathtaking scenery including the iconic Red Clouds Golden Summit from afar when stepping on the Old Golden Summit.

   Move to the sacred Cheng'en Temple, a Ming Dynasty temple with endless pilgrims thronging its realm which helps Fanjingshan Mountain gain the title "one of the Five Great Buddhist Temples in China". From there, challenge yourself with the steep and narrow steps, equipped with iron chains, leading to the Red Clouds Golden Summit, where you will see a giant stone column roots deeply in-ground, and splits into two parts on the top. A stone bridge is built to connect the two flats, enabling you a convenient visit to the two temples on either side of the flats.

   

   After the sightseeing, descend from the summit by taking the cable car and sightseeing bus to the Fanjingshan Scenic Area Exit. Your guide and driver will then accompany you to Jiangkou County, where you will spend the night.

6. Day 6: Tongren Departure

   After a leisurely morning, take your time to enjoy breakfast and relax at your hotel. Your guide will see you off at the airport, where you will embark on your onward journey home or to your next destination.
