Starting from Hohhot, you will be led to first visit the Inner Mongolia Museum and Dazhao Temple, taking a glimpse of the ancient cultural heritage of Inner Mongolia. The Huitengxile Grassland next is a highlight. Here, you can enjoy endless grasslands, yellow flowers, and experience authentic Mongolian culture and lifestyle (you will spend the night in a traditional yurt).
The journey continues to Ordos, integrating modernity and history. Visit the futuristic Kangbashi district and also gain a deep understanding of the achievements of Genghis Khan and visit his mausoleum.

Welcome to this 4-day private Inner Mongolia tour. Upon your arrival, your English-speaking guide and a local driver will pick you up at the airport and then directly transfer you to visit the Inner Mongolia Museum.
The museum is closed on Monday and serves as a window to learn about grassland civilization. It has a collection of over 150,000 cultural relics. You can see the armor and weapons of Genghis Khan's era; ethnic artifacts such as birch bark boats of the Oroqen people; rich dinosaur fossils. The eagle shaped golden crown is a highlight. It is a cultural relic of the Hsiung-Nu nobility during the Warring States period. Your guide will explain more details to you.
Inner Mongolia Museum Afterward, take you to the Dazhao Temple, which is the most complete surviving Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism temple in Inner Mongolia, built in 1579. You can enjoy the 3-meter-high silver statue of Shakyamuni enshrined in the Silver Buddha Hall, Ming and Qing Dynasty murals, and 108 volumes of the "Ganzhuer" scripture. The long corridor and colorful prayer flags are highly characteristic of Tibetan culture. Climbing up to the gilded Maitreya Buddha Pavilion, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the old city area. This is an excellent place to experience the fusion of Mongolian and Tibetan cultures.

Dazhao Temple - Day 2: Hohhot to Huitengxile GrasslandHike through Flower-filled Valley and Sleep Under Stars in Yurt
After breakfast, the tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you to Yellow Flower Valley located on the Huitengxile Grassland. Stretching for 10 kilometers and reaching a depth of 300 meters, Yellow Flower Valley is one of the most representative canyons on the grasslands of Inner Mongolia. You can explore the geopark by hiking, horseback, or by taking a small train - with endless meadows, rolling green hills, yellow wildflowers dotted among them, leisurely strolling herds of cattle, and unique yurts. The best visiting time is from June to September.
Yellow Flower Valley Optional activities (additional fees) include horse racing, archery, and zip line.
After exploration, you will spend the night in a Mongolian-styled yurt today. Experience the authentic nomadic lifestyle and enjoy the starry sky on the grassland.
Idea for Evening: You can choose a Zhama Banquet dinner (at an additional cost). You can taste roasted lamb, dairy products, and liquor. There is also a chance to wear traditional costumes and enjoy local folk performances. Join them in dancing together.

Get up early to capture the amazing sunrise on the Huitengxile Grassland. Breathing fresh air, accompanied by natural sounds from birds and wind. Afterwards, return to the Mongolian yurt to enjoy breakfast.
Yellow Flower Valley After breakfast, you will explore the Huitengxile Grassland. The vegetation coverage rate is over 90%, and the mountains are stacked and covered with flowers, making it one of the three major alpine meadows and flower grasslands in the world. The average summer temperature here is 18ā, with an average altitude of 2100 meters, so it is praised by Chinese and foreign tourists as the "Cool Paradise". It is the Inner Mongolian grassland closest to the capital Beijing.
Whether you are leisurely strolling, horseback riding, or participating in local activities such as wrestling or singing, you can gain a deeper understanding of authentic Mongolian culture and experience the hospitality of the locals.
After saying goodbye to the grassland, we drive to Ordos, a city located in southern Inner Mongolia. Along the way, make a brief stop at Hasu Lake. Take a sightseeing bus to enjoy the scenery of lakes and deserts, and appreciate the sharp contrast between green and yellow tones.

After breakfast, head to Kangbashi District, the central urban area of Ordos City, which is modern and full of a sense of the future. The guide will take you to appreciate some unique buildings and interesting urban planning, such as the Ordos Museum, Opera House, and Genghis Khan Square.
Continue your exploration and drive to the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan. This is the most sacred place for Mongolians, consisting of three yurt style palace tombs. Covering an area of around 13.6 acres (5.5 hectares), the mausoleum is in fact not the burial site of Genghis Khan. Follow your guide to visit statues, giant murals depicting epic battles, and other cultural relics to gain a deeper understanding of the achievements and influence of this historical figure.
