How to Get to Tongli Water Town

By bus: Take bus No. 725 or 725B from Suzhou Railway Station or Suzhou South Bus Station and alight at Tongli Bus Station. The journey lasts approximately 40 minutes and costs 8 yuan.

By metro: Board Line 4 at Suzhou Railway Station or other stations and disembark at Tongli Metro Station. The metro ride takes around 50 minutes and costs 6 yuan. From there, you can take a tourist bus or a taxi to the town entrance, which takes approximately 10 minutes and costs 5 yuan.

By taxi: You can hail a taxi from any location in Suzhou to Tongli Water Town. The fare will vary based on distance and traffic conditions, but it is typically around 100 to 150 yuan from the city center.

  • Tuisi Garden: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this classical garden from the late Qing Dynasty showcases elegant pavilions, bridges, ponds, and rockeries reflecting the philosophy of “retreat and reflection.”
  • Jiayin Hall: A magnificent mansion built in 1911 with exquisite wood, brick, and stone carvings, located on Loujia Lane, Zhuxing Street.
