Among the above five route, the three routes for the double cableway ticket are all recommended. In brief, Route A is the most classic, which is to take a cable car uphill and take a bus downhill. Route B is in the reserve order of Route A. And Route C is specially for tourists who are afraid of heights, so the Tianmen Mountain Cableway is not included. There are three kinds of cable cars in Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area: the Tianmen Mountain Cableway, Fast-line Cableway at Tianmen Cave and the forest sightseeing cableway at the summit. The former two cableways are necessary means of transportation, which connect the downtown – summit and mountain gate – Tianmen Cave, respectively. So they are included in the Tianmen Mountain ticketĀ and do not sell a separate ticket. The total cost is CNY 285 per person.
And the last sightseeing cablewayĀ is chosen by tourists at will. It travels between Yintaowan Square and Yumen Xianding Scenic Spot at the mountain peak and runs above forests. All chairs are open chairs. A single ride takes about 10 minutes and costs CNY 25.
Tianmen Cave Escalator Ticket Price

In Tianmen Cave, the elevator is divided into upper and lower sections. The upper escalator transports tourists from the cave to the summit, so it is also necessary and has been covered in the entrance ticket. VIP Quick Pass for Cable Car

If you want to shorten queuing time for cable car, two kinds of VIP quick passes are available. One is offered by the scenic area and can be purchased on site only. Its cost is CNY 100 and covers the quick pass for the Tianmen Mountain Cableway uphill. To ensure you can buy it, it is advised to arrive there before 08:00. The other one is offered by the Ctrip. It is actually a ticket package that includes the Route A ticket package + quick pass for the Tianmen Mountain Cableway uphill + VIP Lounge. The total cost is CNY 428. - Food and souvenirs: Besides the necessary items included in the Tianmen Mountain ticket, you may want to know the cost of food and drinks in the scenic area. A counter meal costs about CNY 50 – 80 and a bottle of mineral water is CNY 10. The price of the souvenirs is also about 50% higher than that in the downtown area.
- Transportation fee: If you drive a car to Tianmen Mountain by yourself, the parking fee is about CNY 30 – 50 per day. And if you go there by taxi, the fare is about CNY 10 – 20.
