Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Zhangjiajie Arrival

   Welcome to Zhangjiajie! Upon arrival, we will drive you for about an hour to the hotel near the Wulingyuan Area, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, famous for its natural beauty and unique sandstone peaks. Take some time to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.

   Meal: Dinner

2. Day 2: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Tour

   Head to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park to begin your adventure. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is the first national forest park in China, and it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. You'll start with a sightseeing train and walk to visit the Ten-mile Gallery, where you'll see natural scenery and karst landforms.

   

   Then take the Bailong Elevator, a glass elevator that takes you up to the top of a cliff, for a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Next, visit Yuanjiajie, a scenic spot famous for its stunning natural landscapes and unique sandstone peaks. Afterwards, take a cable car to Tianzi Mountain, where you can enjoy more breathtaking views.

3. Day 3: Zhangjiajie - Changsha
   Huangshi Village Scenic Area

   Huangshi Village Scenic Area is another popular scenic area in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Here, you'll take a cable car to the top of the mountain to enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, forests, and valleys.

   Afterwards, drive to Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province.

4. Day 4: Changsha - Chengdu
   Hunan Provincial Museum

   Visit the Hunan Provincial Museum, one of the best museums in China, housing a collection of over 110,000 cultural relics, including bronzes, ceramics, jade, and paintings to learn about the rich history of Hunan Province.

   Afterwards, you'll take a plane to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.

5. Day 5: Tour around Chengdu
   Dujiangyan Irrigation Project, Sanxingdui Museum

   The Dujiangyan Irrigation Project is a 2,300-year-old irrigation system that still functions today, and it is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you'll learn about the history and technology of ancient Chinese irrigation systems.

   

   Then take a guided tour of the Sanxingdui Museum to see the ancient bronze artifacts from the Shu Kingdom.

6. Day 6: Chengdu Panda Tour - Jiuzhaigou
   Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

   Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of giant pandas, where you can see the adorable pandas and learn about their habits and habitat.

   

   Then, fly to Jiuzhaigou and take a walk around the hotel after dinner. Jiuzhaigou is a beautiful valley in the northwest of Sichuan Province, known for its stunning natural scenery, including lakes, waterfalls, and forests.

7. Day 7: Natural Scenery Tour
   Huanglong Scenic Area, Five-Color Pool, Huanglong Temple, Golden Sands Floor

   Huanglong Scenic Area is a beautiful natural reserve in Sichuan Province, famous for its colorful pools, waterfalls, and forests. You'll take a cable car to the Five-Color Pool, where you can see the unique limestone formations and stunning natural scenery.

   

   Then, stroll down the hill and enjoy the Huanglong Temple and the Golden Sands Floor.

8. Day 8: Jiuzhaigou Tour
   Jiuzhaigou Valley, Shuzheng Valley, Zechawa Valley, Rize Valley

   Today will be the highlight of the trip. Jiuzhaigou Valley is a beautiful national park known for its stunning natural scenery and crystal-clear lakes. You will be guided to visit Shuzheng Valley, Zechawa Valley, and Rize Valley to see the colorful forests, waterfalls, and mountain landscapes that make this area so unique. There are also several Tibetan villages in the valley, where you can experience the local culture and traditions.

9. Day 9: Jiuzhaigou - Chengdu - Leshan - Emei Mountain
   Giant Stone Buddha, Emei Mountain

   After flying back to Chengdu, you'll drive to Leshan to see the Giant Stone Buddha, the world's largest stone Buddha statue, standing 71 meters high. Visitors can walk up to get a closer look at the statue or take a boat to see the Buddha as a whole.

   

   After the visit, you will be escorted to Emei Mountain, one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains in China. Check into the hotel to enjoy the hot spring and relax after a long day of sightseeing.

10. Day 10: Emei Mountain Tour
    Mt. Emei

    Today, you have an Emei Mountain day trip. Mt. Emei is a beautiful natural area known for its beautiful landscapes, historic temples, and rich cultural heritage.

    

    You'll have three options for exploring this area: get up early and visit the ancient temples deep in the mountains, take a cable car and hike to the top of Emei Mountain, or enjoy the hot spring at the hotel, visit the hotel Forest Walk, or visit attractions near the hotel, such as Mount Emei Museum and Baoguo Temple.

11. Day 11: Emei Mountain - Chengdu
    Wuhou Shrine, Jinli Street, Sichuan Opera Face Changing

    Drive back to Chengdu and visit Wuhou Shrine, a famous historical site dedicated to Zhuge Liang, a prominent figure in Chinese history. Then, explore Jinli Street, a traditional Chinese-style pedestrian street filled with shops, restaurants, and street performers.

    

    In the evening, you can watch Sichuan Opera Face Changing (at your own expense), a traditional Chinese opera that features quick changes of masks to reflect the character's emotions and thoughts.

12. Day 12: Chengdu Departure

    After breakfast, depart from Chengdu, marking the end of your trip. Thanks for joining our 12-day China tour. Your driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby and drop you off at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, at the agreed time according to your flight.
