Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Guilin Arrival (No Meal)The Landmarks of Guilin City
Upon your arrival at Guilin airport/train station, our English-speaking tour guide will pick you up and then transfer you to have lunch.
In the afternoon, your exploration begins with theĀ amazing ReedĀ Flute Cave. 240 meters deep, the cave has taken a long period of time to form. This was an underground lake one million years ago. Nowadays, tourists can admire a large number of colorful stalagmites, stalactites, stone pillars, and stone curtains. People praise Reed Flute Cave as a natural palace of art.
Reed Flute Cave Then, we will visit the iconic landscape of Guilin, Elephant Trunk Hill, located at the confluence of the Li River and Taohua River. It is named after its appearance resembling an elephant drinking river water. There is a hole in the front of the mountain, curved like a full moon.
Last, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Have a good rest for tomorrow!

- Day 2: Guilin to Yangshuo by Cruise Ship (B, L)Relax on a Cruise on the Li River with Beautiful Nature
Today is the highlight of your Guilin tour. Follow your guide on a 3-star cruise ship. AĀ Li River cruise is a great way to enjoy the beautiful views of Guilin. Along the way, appreciate the towering limestone peaks on both sides of the river, and take pictures at the famous spot shown on the 20 Yuan banknote. Also, you may see idyllic scenes - fishermen using cormorants to catch fish and water buffalo working in the fields. A buffet lunch will be served on the boat.
After the 4-hour cruise, disembark at Yangshuo. The guide will take you to explore West Street, which retains the old charm of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Youāll see stone-paved paths, old-style homes, carved stone signs, ancient pavilions, and houses once lived in by famous people. This street is known for mixing Chinese and Western cultures. Feel free to relax and enjoy the bars, restaurants, and cafĆ©s around you.
In the evening, if you're interested, you can choose to watch the amazing outdoor show Impression of Liu Sanjie. The performance takes place on the Li River, with 12 mountain peaks and the open sky as the backdrop. Using lights, music, and special effects, the show tells stories of Guangxiās ethnic cultures.

Guilin Li River Cruise - Day 3: Guilin to Zhangjiajie by High-speed Train (B, L)
In the morning, our driver will pick you up from the hotel lobby and transfer you to the train station for your high-speed train to Zhangjiajie (train ride around 7 hours ).
When you arrive, the Zhangjiajie local driver will be waiting for you at the exit gate and send you to a local hotel for check-in.
Friendly Tips: There is NO direct flight between Guilin and Zhangjiajie. Today, you will spend most of your time on the train, so you are advised to prepare some food/snacks before you depart from Guilin.
You can enjoy a leisure walk inĀ Xibu StreetĀ in Wulingyuan Area on your own in your free time.

- Day 4: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (B, L)Test Your Courage on the Famous Glass Bridge
Today, your journey begins at Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It was the first national forest park in China where the tall stone pillars reach into the sky. Here you will visit Yellow Stone Village. Sitting at over 1,200 meters above sea level, it offers the best view of the sandstone peak forest. As you walk around, your guide will tell you the story of how Zhang Liang was rescued by a man named Huang Shi. You might also spot some playful monkeys along the path.
Take a cable car to the top of the Yellow Stone Village In the afternoon, hike along the Golden Whip Stream, one of the most scenic spots in Zhangjiajie. The stream flows gently through valleys and hills, and itās named after the nearby Golden Whip Rock. Take your time listening to the soft sounds of the water, and watching the fish swimming in the clear stream.
After that, leave the forest park and then drive to reach the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. There, get ready to test your courage on the famous Glass Bridge ā the longest and highest in the world. Walking on the transparent glass floor gives you a full view of the canyon below.

Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge - Day 5: Zhangjiajie Hallelujah Mountain (B, L)Admire the Floating Mountains in āAvatarā
Todayās first stop isĀ Tianzi Mountain. It particularly stands out for the spectacular stone pinnacles densely scattering across the area, earning it the title āKingdom of Peaksā. You will be led to see the main attractions such as Fields in the Sky, Imperial Brush Peaks, and Dianjiang Terrace.
After that, continue to explore Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, where the famous science fiction filmĀ āAvatarāĀ was set. Bailong Elevatior is the longest and fastest liftĀ in the world. You will have a chance to experience. The liftĀ takesĀ you to the mountain top in 66 seconds, through which you will enjoy the incredible beauty of YuanjiajieĀ and the wisdom of human beings.
Finish all the activities and we drive to Zhangjiajie downtown area for the night.

Bailong Elevator - the highest outdoor elevator in the world - Day 6: Zhangjiajie Departure (B, L)Walk on the Thrilling Glass Skywalk and Walk up the 999 Steps
After breakfast, your guide will take you to explore another top attraction in Zhangjiajie ā Tianmen Mountain National Park.
First, head to the base station to catch the cable car that goes up to the top of the mountain. The Tianmen Mountain cableway is about 7,445 meters long. It is known as the longest cable car ride in the world. The ride takes around 28 minutes one way and offers great views along the way.
Once you reach the top of the mountain, youāll walk on the thrilling glass Skywalk. The path is made of clear glass and hangs along the cliff ā definitely a challenge for those afraid of heights! Ghost Valley Plank Road also awaits your adventure. Tianmen Temple was built during the Ming Dynasty is an important place for Buddhist activities in western Hunan.
Tianmen Mountain Skywalk Then, the exploration comes to the Tianmen Cave, also called Heavenās Door. This huge natural stone arch is 131.5 meters tall and 57 meters wide. Tourists can walk up the 999 steps up to the cave. Finally, take the cable car down the mountain. This is the end of your 6-day Guilin and Zhangjiajie tour. Youāll be taken to the Zhangjiajie airport or train station for your departure.
