Return to Chengdu and explore Kuanzhai Alley, the culinary hub of this city. - Day 1: Chengdu Arrival
You can arrive in Chengdu at any time convenient by plane or high-speed train. Please arrange the airport / train transfer to the hotel by yourself.
You can take a taxi or Didi then check in at the hotel. Today is free for you to explore the city. Chengdu holds so many more charms for you to explore besides the panda. Here is a travel guide for you to experience the slow-paced Chengdu local life.

- Day 2: Drive to Leshan & Chengdu Street FoodLeshan Giant Buddha, Wide and Narrow Alley, Local Street Snacks
After breakfast, meet your tour guide at the hotel lobby, and then you will be transferred for around 2 hours to the Leshan Giant Buddha. This is the tallest stone Buddha in the world. It took three generations of craftsmen 90 years to complete this 71-meter-high (233 feet) statue.
On the right side of the Buddha, there is a nine-curved plank road. Follow your guide up the mountain to see the amazing 1,051 buns of curly hair on the head of the Buddha up close. Optional: If your physical strength is not very good, you can choose to take a cruise along the river to admire the Buddha in the distance. Then you can get a panoramic view.
View the Leshan Giant Buddha from the Boat In the afternoon, we drive back to Chengdu city and to explore the famous Wide and Narrow Alley, where you have a chance to taste the most authentic local snacks and experience real Chengdu local life. For dinner, your guide will lead you to discover some of the best street snacks, including Dandan Noodles (with peppery sauce), Zhong Dumplings, Bo Bo Chicken, and others. Last, escort you back to your hotel.

Zhong Dumplings - Day 3: Cooking Experience, Chengdu DepartureChengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, Sichuan Cuisine Museum
Today, our Chengdu exploration first takes you to visit the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. This base was established on the basis of raising, treating, and breeding giant pandas at Chengdu Zoo. It is definitely a highlight for most visitors to Chengdu. There are adorable pandas everywhere. You could watch them eating bamboo, playing with each other, and sleeping. Your guide will lead you through the large area, tell you interesting facts about the pandas, and help you capture great photos.
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding Afterwards, you are going to be transferred to the Sichuan Cuisine Museum, which includes an Exhibition Hall, Raw Materials Hall, Interactive Hall, and Kitchen God Temple. It's a good platform to learn about the tradition of Sichuan Cuisine culture.
Food Cooking:
A cooking expert will teach you how to make three classic Sichuan dishes. Try cutting ingredients, controlling heat, and using different cooking methods. The chef will give you some insider tips on how to make your food look beautiful. At the end, the chef shows you the right way to enjoy real Sichuan flavors, and then you can eat the delicious food you made yourself.
After that, your driver will send you to the airport for your flight home or to other destinations.
