Good morning! Welcome to our Beijing day tour with a private local guide and the driver. They will meet you from your accommodation at the designated time. The first stop will be a visit to Tian’anmen Square which is the center and symbol of Beijing. It is the largest in the world of its kind. Your guide will tell you about some significant Chinese events that occurred at this location.
Continuing north, you will arrive at the Imperial Palace, a royal palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties formerly known as the Forbidden City. It is the largest and most well preserved wooden structure ancient architectural complex in the world.
The buildings here are divided into two parts: the outer court and the inner court. The center of the Outer Court consists of three main halls, where the country holds major ceremonies. The Inner Court features the three palaces where the emperor and empress reside. Behind it is the Imperial Garden. On both sides of the three palaces are arranged the Eastern and Western Six Palaces, which are where the concubines reside. The guide will show you some classic palaces to ensure that you can see the essence in a limited time.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant (included).

In the afternoon, head to the Temple of Heaven. Located in the southern part of Beijing, it has been served as a complex of sacrificial building where Emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest.
At last, relax in the Summer Palace. Built referring to the scenery of West Lake in Hangzhou, this royal garden from the Qing Dynasty used Kunming Lake and Wanshou Mountain for its base locations. The Summer Palace adopted the design techniques of Jiangnan gardens and was included in the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 1998. Strolling within the park, visiting attic, halls, corridors, opera towers, and more. If you are interested, you can pay on site to take a boat tour of Kunming Lake. (optional)
