  1. Welcome to Datong! Upon your arrival at the airport or train station, your friendly guide and driver will be waiting to greet you. From there, you'll embark on a 25km drive to the remarkable Yungang Grottoes. These ancient Buddhist cave temples date back to the 5th and 6th centuries and boast an astonishing collection of over 50,000 Buddhist statues and intricate carvings.

    After a fascinating visit to Yungang Grottoes, you'll proceed to the Nine Dragon Screen Wall, a vibrant and well-preserved screen wall that depicts nine dragons playing in the waves. This is one of the three renowned screen walls in China and a fascinating example of traditional Chinese artistry.

    Next, you'll visit Huayan Temple, an important religious site in Datong, known for its intricate wooden carvings and ancient architecture. Here, you can experience the serenity and spirituality of Buddhist culture.
