In the morning, our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby. Then you will be escorted to visit Sophia Church, a typical Byzantine architecture style Orthodox Church built in 1907 by Russia. From the life of the church, one will read the history of Harbin and even the northeast part of China. Afterward, you will take a walk along Central Street. On the street, you will see many old buildings built in various Western styles.
After lunch, continue your Harbin day tour to Sun Island Park. Located on the north bank of the Songhua River, Sun Island is a famous summer resort. In summer, the island is shaded by green trees and filled with fragrant flowers, forming a sharp contrast with the winter season. There are also a large number of European-style villas on the island. Your tour guide will explain the history of several of the most important buildings to you.
Then, take a guided tour of the Heilongjiang Provincial Museum. Here you can see dinosaur fossils and animal specimens, as well as ancient ceramic pots, silver jewelry and jade, weapons, calligraphy and paintings, and other cultural relics unearthed in Heilongjiang Province. If you are lucky, you can also see temporary exhibitions, such as handicraft exhibitions.
