How to Get to Mount Gongga

Air Travel:

To begin your journey, you can opt for a flight to Kangding Airport, which serves as the nearest airport to Mount Gongga. Situated approximately 150 kilometers away, you can easily access Hailuogou, the main entrance to Mount Gongga, by either taking a taxi or a bus. The flight duration from Chengdu is approximately 40 minutes, with ticket prices ranging from 500-800 yuan per person.

Train Route:

Another convenient option is to travel by train to Luding Railway Station, which is also in close proximity to Mount Gongga. The distance between Luding Railway Station and the mountain is around 80 kilometers. From Luding, you can proceed to Hailuogou by either taxi or bus. The train journey from Chengdu takes approximately 2 hours, and ticket prices range from 100-200 yuan per person.

Bus Service:

If you prefer a more economical mode of transportation, you can take a bus directly to Hailuogou Bus Station, located at the foot of Mount Gongga. Regular bus services are available from Chengdu, Ya’an, Luding, and Kangding to Hailuogou. The bus ride from Chengdu takes approximately 6-8 hours, with ticket prices ranging from 150-200 yuan per person.
