AM: Our local tour guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby and then start the one day tour with the hundreds-year-old Jade Buddha Temple. The temple was built to keep two jade Buddha statues which had been brought from Burma by a monk named Huigen. Then move on to visit Shanghai Museum at People’s Square. Established in 1952, the Shanghai Museum has a collection of more than 120,00 rare cultural pieces from the Old Stone Age to modern times. Finish the exploration of history, stroll on People Square to have a glimpse of the daily life of the locals. The square now is most famous for its match-making corner where parents try to seek partners for their children.
Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.
PM: After lunch, continue to visit Yuyuan Garden, a famous classical garden which was originally built for Pan’s parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age. Nearby is Yuyuan Market a bustling marketplace set in an old Chinese neighborhood with traditional architecture and shops selling everything from local snacks to various souvenirs.
Then take a walk on Shanghai Old Street, with a total length of 825 meters, and the architectural style and business layout show the historical and cultural evolution of old Shanghai from the Ming and Qing dynasties to the fusion of western culture.
Finally, come to the Former French Concession, the largest and most prosperous concession among all the four French concessions in old China. From 1849 to 1943, this area was ruled by France for almost a century. Here your tour guide will reveal a history of humiliation and you will see many old beautiful European style buildings which look very charming hidden in the shade of French parasol trees
When the tour ends, escort back to your hotel in Shanghai.

Great tour! A bus was on time to pick us up from our hotel and drove us to each destination. Noble was our tour guide and he not only provided information on each attraction, but was also able to answer any questions we had (we had a lot!).

I have had a wonderful day trip to Xi'an from Shanghai, all arranged by China Xi'an Tour including hotel pick up and transfer back, flights and lunch. Ms. Grace (travel consultant) was very helpful in arranging the best trip for me and my family in Xi'an. The tour guide, Mr. Joe and the driver too were both very friendly and helpful to us. As we are travelling with 2 young children. Both of them were very patient (i.e. we can't walk too fast, we need to use baby stroller etc). Definitely will recommend them to friends.

The tour guide assign to us was very knowledgeable on the history of the places that we had visited and that was very important to us as this trip was mainly to expose our 2 boys to appreciate the Chinese history.
