Around 5:00 pm, you’ll be picked up by our local guide and driver at your Shanghai hotel lobby in the downtown area.
The first stop of today’s Shanghai food tour is City God Temple, a popular tourism spot and busy district that covers a large area of the old City God Temple, Yuyuan Garden, and shopping & gourmet in Shanghai.
Outside the temple, there’s a pedestrian street. You will be dazzled by various snack shops or stands scattered along the street. The snacks on the top must-eat list include roasted mutton cubes, fried bean curd, spicy crayfish, and steamed small meat dumplings in a basket. The guide will help you to try some kinds that fit your interest and appetite, and explain their history, cooking method, or ingredients.
Next, you will visit the Bund, one of the most famous landmarks in Shanghai. Then, embark on a cruise boat to cruise on the Huangpu River, along which you can pass the neon-lit Bund on the west bank and Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jinmao Tower, World Financial Center, and other futuristic buildings at Lujiazui in Pudong on the east bank of the Huangpu River.
You will be transferred back to your hotel when the guided night tour in Shanghai is finished.
