Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Xian Arrival, City Highlights Tour
   Appreciate Historical Relics and Explore Xi'an Landmarks

   Arrive in Xian and meet your English-speaking Xian tour guide at the airport or train station. Begin your Xian tour with a brief introduction about Xian as the ancient capital of 13 Chinese dynasties. You will be transferred to downtown Xian to discover the rich history of China at the Xi'an Museum.

   The museum has collected numerous cultural relics from various eras in the Xi'an area, some of which were unearthed from important dynasties in Chinese history such as the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties, including many exquisite cultural relics. You can learn about the thousand year history and development of Xi'an as a capital. In this scenic area, you can also see the Small Wild Goose Pagoda.

   After that, enjoy a delightful lunch.

   

   In the afternoon, go to admire the landmark of Xi'an - the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in the 7th century, this pagoda was for housing Buddhist scriptures brought from India. Your guide will share some facts about the spread of Buddhism in China. Continue the Xian tour to Bell and Drum Tower Square, where you can see another landmark of Xian in the city center - the Bell Tower. Understand its historical role as a cultural symbol.

   After that, drive back to your downtown hotel for check-in.

2. Day 2: Xian Terracotta Warriors Tour
   Trace Back Thousand Years of History

   After breakfast, meet your guide and driver at the hotel lobby.

   Start today's Xian tour at Banpo Museum, the first prehistoric site museum in China. This site reveals the production, lifestyle, customs, and habits of a typical Neolithic period dating back over 6000 years. Your guide will take you to explore houses, cellars, tools, painted pottery, and other artworks to learn about the rich cultural history of the Banpo people.

   Next, transfer you to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discovered in 1974, the site shows three large pits containing more than 8,000 life size Terracotta Warriors, horses and chariots. During the 2.5-hour visit, you will also have a brief understanding of the deeds of China's first emperor.

   

   After lunch, return to the downtown area for an afternoon visit to the Ancient City Wall. Your guide will share the architectural significance of the wall with you. Enjoy a breathtaking view of Xian City when walking on the wall or by bike (optional).

   After a great time on the City Wall, be escorted back to your hotel. You can enjoy an evening at your leisure.

3. Day 3: Xian Departure
