3 Days Xian Small Group Tour

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Terracotta Warriors and Banpo Museum Bus Tour
   Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Banpo Museum (Lunch)

   AM: In the morning, our guide and driver will pick you up from your downtown hotel. We will drive about 1 hour to Terracotta Warriors. Before visiting the museum, we will pay a short visit to Terracotta Figures Factorywhere you will learn about the process of making figures and appreciate some fine artworks. There are also souvenirs like mini warriors if you are interested. Known as “the eighth major miracle of the world” and one of the most significant archaeological discoveries in the 20th century, the museum shows a surprisingly high level in sculpture. It has three pits with a total area of 22,780 square meters. You will have about 2.5 hours exploring the museum.

   

   Noon: Lunch in a local restaurant

   PM: In the afternoon, continue to visit Banpo Neolithic Village. This New Stone Age site, dating from approximately 5,000 to 4,000 B.C., is one of the most complete examples of a Neolithic agricultural settlement in the world. BTW, on the way to Banpo Museum, you will pass by Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum and have a glimpse of it in the car.

   After the whole day’s tour, transfer back to your hotel.

2. Day 2: Xian City Sightseeing Bus Tour
   Small Wild Goose Pagoda, North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Xian Ancient City Wall, Bell & Drum Tower Square, Muslim Quarter (Lunch)

   AM: The tour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby. The tour will begin with Small Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the two Buddhist temples built in the Tang Dynasty. The pagoda sits in an ancient Chinese style garden. You will also have chance to visit Xian Museum to appreciate plenty of precious cultural relics. Next we will move on to North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda to admire the pagoda from a distance and enjoy some relaxing time walking on the square.

   

   Noon: Lunch in a local restaurant

   PM: After lunch, we’ll head to Xian Ancient City Wall. The 600-year-old City Wall is the most completely preserved and largest city wall in China. Visitors can optionally ride bikes on the top of the City Wall to see the city from a unique angle. After that you will stroll around the Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square. The last stop is the Muslim Quarter. Many special local products and snacks could be found along this street. At the end of the tour, your guide and driver will take you back to your hotel.

3. Day 3: Mt. Huashan Bus Tour
   Mt. Huahshan (No meal)

   AM: In the morning, our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby. After collecting all tourists, we will drive about 2 hours to Mt. Huashan.

   We will arrive at Mt. Huashan at 10:00 – 11:00 am. Take the shuttle bus to the foot of North Peak and get on the cable car up to the mountain. Your guide will tell you the climbing route and meeting place. You will enjoy your free time for sightseeing and photo taking. The scenery here will definitely surprise you! We will stay on the mountain for 4 to 5 hours and you may cover 3 to 5 peaks according to your interest. And on the mountain you may experience some exciting activities like plank road. Please watch your steps.

   Noon: Lunch on your own. This tour does not include lunch because there is no restaurant on mountain top. Please bring something for lunch.

   PM: At about 17:00, our guide will meet you at the appointed place and take the cable car down to the foot of North Peak. Then take the shuttle bus to the exit and board our car back to your hotel in Xian.
