Day-by-day Itinerary
- Day 1: Shanghai Arrival
Welcome to China's most prosperous city for a 6-day short China tour to Shanghai and Huangshan! Upon your arrival at Shanghai Airport, a local private driver will greet you at the exit of the arrival hall. Then transfer you to your hotel for a good rest. You are free to stroll around during the remaining time.

- Day 2: Shanghai Highlights TourA Cultural and Modern Blend: Museum & Garden
After breakfast, meet your guide in the hotel lobby. Then begin your Shanghai tour at the Shanghai Museum, which houses millions of collections and especially features bronze wares, porcelain works, paintings, and calligraphy works.
Next, continue to visit the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. Standing on People's Square, it is an essential place for tourists who are interested in the evolution of the city.
Exhibits in Shanghai Museum After lunch, your guide will take you to visit Yuyuan Garden, a well-known classical garden in Jiangnan (the south of the Yangtze River). Covering an area of 2 hectares, Yuyuan Garden has been in existence for more than 450 years. It was originally built by the owner as a place for his parents to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age. Nearby is the lively Yuyuan Market, where you can get everything from traditional Chinese crafts like chopsticks, fans, and pottery to local delicacies such as steamed buns, crab shell cake, and pork chop with rice cakes.
Then wander around Nanjing Road to see traditional department stores and optionally try some authentic Shanghai snacks. Afterward, stroll on the Bund. You will admire buildings of various styles, enjoy the beautiful Huangpu River, and listen to your guide explaining its history.
After a leisurely walk, you will be escorted back to your hotel.

The Bund - Day 3: Shanghai to Huangshan Tour by High-speed TrainStep Back in Time at Zhujiajiao Town with Optional Boat Trip
After breakfast, meet your guide and driver at your hotel lobby and check out as you will take the departure train to Huangshan directly after the Zhujiajiao Water Town tour. Please pack your belongings in advance.
Zhujiajiao Water TownĀ is the Venice of Shanghai. You will stroll along the old-time town while listening to the guide's introduction about its history. The town can date back to even 1,700 years ago, as early as the time of the Three Kingdoms. In the Song and Yuan Dynasties, the village grew into a town and got the name "Zhujiacun Village". The appearance of the town we see today was left from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
Nowadays the ancient town is best known for its bridges, old streets, and gardens built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The highlights to see here are Fangsheng Bridge, Baoguo Temple, Town God's Temple, and Zhuxi Garden. Capture snapshots of charming alleyways and ancient stone houses. Zhujiajiao Water Town After your tour in Shanghai, transfer you to the train station for a 3-hour bullet train to Huangshan. When you arrive, a Huangshan local driver will greet you at the exit of the train station and then transfer you to your downtown hotel for a good rest.

- Day 4: Yellow Mountain TourAdmire Various Shapes of Pine Trees during Your Scenic Hike
After hotel breakfast, drive about 1-1.5 hours to the mountain. Upon arrival, your private Huangshan tour guide will lead you to take the shuttle bus to Cloud Valley Temple and then hop on a cable car at Yungu Station up the Huangshan Mountain (Yellow Mountain).
Start your Yellow Mountain hiking tour to enjoy the beautiful scenery at the North Sea Scenic Area. Along the way, you can see the various shapes of pine trees and rocks, such as the famous Beginning-to-believe Peak and Black Tiger Pine.
Continue hiking to the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion in the afternoon. Built in the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), it is a great place to view the magnificent sunrise. If you are physically fit, you can walk more to enjoy the view of the West Sea Grand Canyon.
Tonight you will stay at a hotel on the mountain to catch the sunrise the next day.

Huangshan Hiking Tour - Day 5: Huangshan to Shanghai Tour by High-speed TrainEnjoy the Glorious Sunrise, Appreciate Hui-style Buildings
If the weather permits, you will wake up early this morning to enjoy the incredible sunrise view. After the visit, return to your hotel for breakfast.
After checking out, continue your Mount Huangshan tour and hike to the second peak of Yellow Mountain, Bright Summit (6,102 feet), to enjoy the strange Flying-Over Rock. Afterward, go to Lion Peak to see Monkey Watching the Sea. Walk back to Yungu Station and take the cable car down the mountain.
Stone Monkey Watching the Sea After lunch, you will be guided to visit Hongcun Village, located in Yixian County, Huangshan City, which enjoys the reputation of "village in Chinese painting". Here, you will appreciate famous Huizhou-style architecture, including exquisite Ming and Qing Dynasty ancient residences such as Chengzhi Hall and Nanhu Academy. In addition, take a walk along Nanhu Lake and Moon Pond to capture the beautiful scenery.
Saying goodbye to the village, transfer to the train station for your high-speed train back to Shanghai. When you arrive in Shanghai, your local driver will wait for you at the exit of the train station and drive you to the downtown hotel.

Hongcun Village - Day 6: Shanghai DepartureGet a Thrilling Sky-High View of Shanghai City
Today is the last day of your China trip in Shanghai. In the morning, you will be guided to visit theĀ Jade Buddha Temple. It is an oasis in the heart of Shanghai. Admire the exceptional jade Buddha statue that a monk named Huigen brought back from Burma in 1882 and can pray for blessing for yourself and your family. Please note that it is not allowed to take photos of the jade Buddha.
Then go to tick off Shanghai World Financial Center, a tall skyscraper in Pudong New Area. It boasts a total of 104 floors with 3 floors under the ground and 101 floors above the ground, among which Floor 94, 97, and 100 serve as sightseeing halls. You will have a chance to see for yourself and go up to the 100th floor to have a marvelous panoramic view of the Huangpu River (optional, at your own expense). Walking on the 55-meter-long transparent sightseeing corridor will be an exciting experience.
Jade Buddha Temple After lunch, transfer to the airport/train station for departure. Our service of the 6-day Shanghai and Huangshan tour will end here. Wish you a pleasant journey!
