8 Days Harbin Winter Tour with Yabuli & China Snow Town

Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Harbin
   Experience the Joy of Skating on the Frozen Songhua River

   After arriving in Harbin, the tour guide and driver will warmly welcome you at the airport or train station. They will hold a welcome sign with your name written on it, making it easy for you to find them.

   Your 8-day Harbin tour will be directly transferred to Songhua River, the third largest river in China after the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers. In winter, this river becomes a natural skating rink. You will see many locals sliding on the frozen water surface. Join them and experience the joy of skating.

   

   Next, your private guide will take you to visit the Flood Control Memorial Tower. This was built on October 1, 1958 to commemorate the victory of the people of Harbin over the "Great Flood of 1957". Your tour guide will lead you deeper into its ability to resist natural factors. Afterwards, take a leisurely walk in Stalin Park, which is an open landscape park on the banks of the Songhua River. After the tour, escort you to the hotel in the city center for check-in.

2. Day 2: Harbin to Yabuli Tour
   Engage in a Thrilling 3-hour Skiing on Elementary Trails

   After breakfast, we drive for around 3 hours to Yabuli Ski Resort. En route, enjoy the beautiful scenery. Since its establishment, Yabuli Ski Resort has hosted several National Winter Games and has very complete facilities, including more than ten beginner, intermediate and advanced ski slopes. Among them, the 4th Ski Slope is the longest alpine ski slope in Asia.

   After arrival, your guide will help you check in and take a good rest before the afternoon activities. You can enjoy a fun 3-hour skiing on the elementary trails at the resort. Some basic skiing facilities will be provided to you. For those seeking excitement, they can pay extra to experience the fun of skiing on higher-level ski slopes. In addition, you can also try snow entertainment projects such as snowmobiles here.

3. Day 3: Yabuli to China Snow Town Tour
   Visit the Lively Xueyun Street and Enjoy Magical Snowy Night Views

   Today, the Harbin winter tour transfers you to the dreamy China Snow Town. The car ride takes about 2.5 hours. Upon arrival, check in at a local hotel and have a short rest. Snow Town is a small village located in the southwest mountainous area of Hailin City. Snowfall is frequent in this area, of which the best time to visit Snow Town is between December and March, when the snow is the heaviest and thickest.

   Xueyun Street, the liveliest part of the village, is the first stop on your China Snow Town tour. This nearly 500-meter-long street is lined with stores, and the red lanterns hanging in front of the stores make for a festive atmosphere. You can try the project of pouring hot water into the sky, and then the hot water will immediately turn into ice! At night, Snow Town becomes a magical wonderland with the white snow reflecting the soft light.

   Note: China Snow Town is just a small town, and the hotels there won't be as good as that of in big cities.

4. Day 4: Snow Town Surrounding Exploration
   Optionally Go to Photographer's Paradises

   This morning, enjoy your leisure time in Snow Town and take photos of many of your favorite landscapes. Some locations are chargeable, such as Yangcaoshan Hill and Dream House (optional, pay on your own). If you would like to go there, your guide will arrange it for you.

   Yangcaoshan Hill is the most beautiful place around Snow Town. It is named after the sparse trees and abundant grass on the mountaintop in this vast primitive forest. On the way to it, you will see beautiful white frost and misty pine trees.

   Dream House is a must visit place for photography enthusiasts. This area is surrounded by thick snow and traditional wooden houses decorated with red lanterns. Every winter, snow falls on the eaves and roofs, forming various shapes of snow, some resembling mushrooms, clouds, and turtles. It looks particularly beautiful at night, so you are suggested to visit it the night before (on the third day).

5. Day 5: Snow Town to Harbin Tour
   Immerse in Russian-style Manor and Try Amusement Facilities

   After breakfast, check out the hotel and meet your driver and guide. They will escort you back to Harbin. Your day begins with a visit to the captivating Volga Manor.

   In the later afternoon, your Harbin tour begins with a visit to Volga Manor. Located on the outskirts of Harbin, this is a fairy-tale world full of Russian flavor with more than forty Russian-style buildings, including red old castles and blue-roofed cabins. In this manor, you can enjoy various amusement facilities such as snow tubing or ice skating. In addition, cultural experiences, dining and lodging are all available, making it perfect for a visit with family and friends.

   

   If you are interested, you can paint a traditional Russian doll (for an additional fee). We will arrange a sumptuous Russian Western Dinner with red wine for you. Stay overnight in Volga Manor.

6. Day 6: Leisure in Volga Manor and Yingjie Hot Springs
   Relax in Mineral-rich Hot Springs, Soothing Body and Mind

   Spend a leisurely morning at Volga Manor. Take a walk in a peaceful atmosphere and capture the sunrise scenery...

   Afterwards, we will take you to Yingjie Hot Spring Scenic Area, which is 60 kilometers away from Harbin city. Compared with other hot springs, the hot springs here have high fluoride content and are calcium carbonate springs, which are very good for bones and skin. The warm hot springs (at around 52 degrees Celsius) provide a truly soothing experience for your body and mind in the cold winter.

7. Day 7: Harbin Highlights Tour
   Snow Sculptures and Colorful Ice World Exploration

   After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely walk along the historic Central Street, where you will see many Baroque-style European buildings and interesting ice and snow sculptures of different shapes. As strolling, catch a sight of the St. Sophia Cathedral from outside. This is a symbol of Harbin's rich history. Marvel at the Byzantine architecture and the green domes of this Russian Orthodox church. It is recommended you to taste local century-old brand ice cream (about 10 RMB). It is both delicious and a part of Harbin's cultural exploration.

   

   Next, continue your Harbin tour to Sun Island to join the International Snow Sculpture Expo, which is one of the highlights of the annual Harbin Ice and Snow Festival. You can enjoy a large number of realistic and stunning snow sculptures in different attention areas. In addition, you could experience entertainment activities such as slides and snow off-road vehicles (at an additional cost).

   As night falls, you will be taken into a wonderful world of ice and snow, illuminated by colorful LED lights. The Harbin Ice and Snow Festival held in Harbin Ice Snow World is widely recognized as the world's largest ice themed park, open from Christmas to early March every year. See various shapes of large ice sculptures, and also experience the fun of ice and snow entertainment projects, such as ice slides, ice bikes, and Ferris wheels.

   Note:

   During peak hours, especially during the traditional Chinese Lunar New Year and weekends, the queues for many programs get longer.

8. Day 8: Departure from Harbin

   Your 8-day Harbin winter tour comes to an end. According to the departure time of your flight or train, your driver will pick you up on time and escort you onto the plane or train to your next destination.
