Public Transportation From Xian to Huashan Mountain

Mount Huashan is situated in Huayin County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, about 123 kilometers from Xian. Known as the top precipitous mountain in the world, it is on the things-to-do list of numerous travelers’ Xian tours. The steep paths, breathtaking crags, beautiful scenery are incredibly worth a shot.

For visitors who want to go to Huashan without joining a package tour, there are two kinds of transportation from Xian to Huashan Mountain that are both convenient.

Xian to Huashan Trains

The fastest way to travel from Xian to Huashan is to take the high-speed trains which only takes about 30 minutes. When you get out of the Huashan train station, you can grab a taxi or take the bus to the scenic spot of Mount Huashan.

Kind Note: If you plan to visit Huashan in one daytime, it is suggested to take the morning train and you can get back to Xian by evening train. Likewise, there are also many options for Huashan to Xian train, and the last one departs from Huashan at 22:26.

Xian to Huashan High-speed Trains Schedule

All the above Xian to Huashan high-speed trains depart from Xian North Railway Station, and arrive at Huashan North Railway Station, except that: C182, C162, C172 depart from Xian Railway Station and arrive at Huashan Railway Station; and G658, G666 depart from Xian Railway Station and arrive at Huashan North Railway Station.

Xian to Huashan Train Fares

For the C-series intercity trains, the second-class ticket price is RMB 30, and the first-class ticket price is RMB 48. For the G-series high-speed train, the second-class ticket price is RMB 54.5, and the first-class ticket price is RMB 89.5.

Huashan North Railway Station is about 5 kilometers away from Mount Huashan scenic area. You can take a taxi which costs about 15 minutes’ drive; or take free tourist bus Line 1, which costs about 20 minutes.

Bus from Xian to Huashan

During your Xian travel, you can take the Xian to Huashan shuttle bus which departs at the east side of the Xian Railway Station’s parking lot. It costs about RMB 30-40. And the bus will drop you at the foot of Mount Huashan.

Another way is taking the Xian to Huashan shuttle bus at Xian East (Textile City) Coach Station to Huayin (Mount Huashan). The bus departs every 30 minutes between 07:00 to 19:15 (may subject to change). The ticket fare is about RMB 40. And the bus journey usually takes about 2 hours.

Kind note: Make sure not to get on the wrong bus, because there are different bus lines from the station.

How to Get to Huashan from Xian Xianyang Airport

After arriving at Xian Xianyang International Airport, there are two options to get to Mount Huashan.

• By Bus: You can first take the subway or taxi to the downtown area of Xian, and then take the Xian to Huashan shuttle bus at the bus station opposite Xian Railway Station.
• By High-speed train: You can take Xian Subway Line 14 from the airport to Xian North Railway Station, then transfer to the high-speed train directly to Huashan North Railway Station. After arriving, take a bus or taxi to the Huashan Tourist Center (Huashan Cableway) or Yuquan Temple (Huashan hiking) to start your Xian to Huashan adventure tour!
