1. Day 1: Shanghai Highlights Tour
   Explore the Development of Shanghai, Marvel at its Prosperity

   In the morning, your private tour guide will pick you up at your centrally located hotel and start your Shanghai trip to the Shanghai Museum. Here you will see a rich collection of artifacts, especially bronzes, ceramics, and paintings. You will get a glimpse of the 5,000 years of Chinese civilization through a fascinating guided tour.

   Then, be guided to the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall which showcases the ever-changing face of Shanghai and is an essential visiting point for tourists who are interested in the evolution of the city.

   

   After lunch, climb the Oriental Pearl TV Tower to obtain a panoramic view of Shanghai's dramatic city landscape.

   Continue your visit to Nanjing Pedestrian Road, one of the most famous shopping streets in Shanghai, which originated in 1851. The street is lined with stores offering a wide range of goods from high-end brands to local snacks, making it a great choice for shopping and experiencing Shanghai's bustling city life.

   

   Waitan, the Bund, is one of the most famous landmarks in Shanghai. Standing on the bank of the Huangpu River, the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism, and Renaissance are a symbol of Shanghai's past.

   At last, pay a visit to Xintiandi, which has transformed from the original residence function of Shikumen longtang (local lane) of old Shanghai into a must-visit mall that integrates fashion, leisure, culture, food, and shopping.

2. Day 2: Old Shanghai Tour
   Visit Jiangnan Yu Garden, Discover the Story of Old Shanghai

   Today's tour in Shanghai takes you to visit Yuyuan Garden, a classical garden with a history of more than 400 years. Inside the garden, the lakes and mountains reflect each other, and the pavilions are staggered, which is a typical garden style of the south of the Yangtze River. The Jiuqu Bridge and the Mid-lake Pavilion are especially famous and are good places for tourists to take photos.

   Nearby, wander around the lively Yuyuan Market. You can find traditional Chinese crafts like chopsticks, fans, pottery, and local delicacies. Then, discover Shanghai's rich heritage of Shanghai Old Street.

   

   In the afternoon, your guide will take you to visit the hundreds-year-old Jade Buddha Temple, a Song Dynasty-style building. This more than 100-year-old temple was built to keep two jade Buddha statues brought back from Burma by a monk named Huigen.

   Then spend some leisure time at Tianzifang which was transformed from Longtangs built in the 1930s. Taking a walk here, you will meet various creative shops, galleries, and coffee bars. Those architectural styles will remind you of the good old days.
