Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Shanghai Arrival

   Arriving in Shanghai, your private driver will hold a welcome sign at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Free for the rest of the day.

   Note: If you land at Pudong Airport, the transfer fare will be slightly higher than picking you up from Hongqiao Airport.

2. Day 2: Shanghai City Tour
   Marvel at the Modernization of This Metropolis

   Today's first stop on your guided Shanghai trip is Shanghai Museum (closed every Monday). The museum houses millions of collections and especially features bronze wares, porcelain works, paintings, and calligraphy works.  After the exploration of history, stroll on People Square to have a glimpse of the daily life of the locals.

   Then walk along Nanjing Road. Known as the "First Commercial Street of China", it is one of the earliest and busiest commercial streets in Shanghai. Stroll and admire buildings that blend historical heritage with a modern atmosphere, and also taste traditional cuisine.

   Start at the Bund in the east and end in the west at the junction of Jing'an Temple and Yan'an West Street. Today it is a must-see metropolitan destination that attracts thousands of fashion-seeking shoppers from all over the world.

   

   After lunch, continue your Shanghai tour to the new development zone in Pudong – Lujiazui Finance & Trade Zone. It is also home to a few skyscrapers such as the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Jinmao Tower. We'll take the elevator to the 88-storey Observation Deck of Jinmao Tower to have a bird's eye view of Huangpu River. After descending the tower, drive you back to your hotel.

3. Day 3: Old Shanghai Tour
   Exploring the Past Stories of Old Shanghai

   After breakfast, meet your guide and driver in the hotel lobby. Today, you will explore old Shanghai with Yuyuan Garden, a famous classical garden that was originally built for Pan's parents as a place to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age.

   Nearby is Yuyuan Market, a bustling marketplace with traditional architecture and shops selling local snacks and various souvenirs.

   Then take a walk on Shanghai Old Street, with a total length of 825 meters. The architectural style and business layout show the historical and cultural evolution of old Shanghai from the Ming and Qing dynasties to the fusion of Western culture.

   

   After lunch, be guided to visit the hundred-year-old Jade Buddha Temple, which is named after the fact that it mainly enshrines jade Buddha statues. This Song Dynasty-style palace building has a rigorous layout and boasts a quiet environment. Located in the bustling city center, it is known as a pure land amidst the hustle.

   Next, go to the Former French Concession, the largest and most prosperous concession among all the four French concessions in old China. From 1849 to 1943, this area was ruled by France for almost a century. Here your tour guide will reveal a history of humiliation and you will see many old beautiful European-style buildings that look very charming hidden in the shade of French parasol trees.

   Then, take a walk in Longtangs to see another side of Shanghai people's lives. Finally, enjoy some leisure time in the Xintiandi Area.

4. Day 4: Shanghai Departure
