Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Zhangjiajie Arrival

   Hello! So happy to see you on our 7-day private Zhangjiaje Guilin tour. Upon your arrival at Zhangjiajie airport/train station, the local driver will pick you up from the exit gate and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Free and easy on your arrangement for the rest of the day.

2. Day 2: Tianmen Mountain and Grand Canyon
   Challenge 999 Steps and Transparent Glass Bridge

   After breakfast, meet your guide and begin the guided Zhangjiajie adventure to Tianmen Mountain, the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie, with the main peak at an elevation of 1518.6 meters. Upon arrival, you will take a cable car around 7,500 meters long to reach the mountaintop.

   Get off the cable car and explore some classic attractions including the Glass Skywalk, a viewing platform stretching out from the sky; the Ghost Valley Plank Road, neither at the top nor on the side of a cliff but standing in the middle of a towering cliff; Tianmen Mountain Temple, the Buddhist center of western Hunan.

   

   Afterwards, go down to Tianmen Cave, the highest natural through-mountain cave in the world. If you have the energy, you can conquer the 999 steps to the cave. Finally, take the cableway and descend the mountain.

   In the afternoon, transfer to visit the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, featuring lush vegetation and fresh air. Flying waterfalls and clear streams can be seen everywhere, like a natural oxygen bar.

   The most popular attraction here is the Glass Bridge, 430 meters long and more than 280 meters away from the valley bottom. It is the longest and tallest transparent glass bridge in the world. Challenge yourself to walk on it, which would be a thrilling experience!

3. Day 3: Zhangjiajie Hallelujah Mountains
   Explore the Filming Location of the Movie "Avatar"

   Today, you'll start your adventure with Tianzi Mountain, known as the "miniature fairyland" and renowned for its spectacular quartz sandstone peaks. The guide will take you on the longest high-altitude passenger cableway in Asia to the top of the mountain (2,084 meters long). Afterwards, enjoy iconic landscapes such as the Imperial Writing Brush Peaks and Fairy Offering Flowers. Every year from April to May, rhododendrons bloom all over the mountains, and in November, red leaves adorn the peaks.

   

   In the afternoon, head to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park to explore the filming location of the movie "Avatar" on the floating mountain - Yuanjiajie. By riding the Bailong Elevator, you can instantly go up to a height of over 300 meters. In the transparent elevator, enjoy the stunning peaks and valleys. Scenic spots such as the Enchanting Platform and the First Bridge under Heaven each have their own unique features and should not be missed.

   The next is the Golden Whip Stream. Located in the eastern part of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, it is named after its flow through Jinbian Rock. We will hike here for about 2 hours, passing through the beautiful valleys, with fresh flowers and grasses along the stream, and birds singing and warbling.

   After the tour, you will be taken to a hotel in the downtown area.

4. Day 4: Zhangjiajie to Guilin by High-speed Train

   In the morning, your private driver will pick you up from the hotel lobby and transfer to the train station for your high-speed train to Guilin (train ride around 7 hours ).

   When you arrive at Guilin (North) Station, the Guilin local driver will be waiting for you at the exit gate and transfer you to the hotel for check-in.

   Friendly Tips: There is NO direct flight between Zhangjiajie and Guilin. Today, you will spend most of your time on the train, so you are advised to prepare some food/snacks before you depart from Zhangjiajie.

5. Day 5: Guilin to Longji Rice Terraces
   Enjoy Layered Terraced Scenery and Long Hair Show

   After breakfast, your Guilin tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and drive to the Longji Terraced Fields, which have a history of thousands of years. Can you imagine? Over 2,000 years ago, the ethnic minorities here cultivated the remote mountains using slash-and-burn methods.

   Upon arrival, marvel at the layered terraced scenery. In addition, the guide will explain the unique cultural customs of the ethnic minorities in the region, including the Zhuang and Yao ethnic groups. Appreciate the unique Long Hair Show of the Yao women in Huangluo Village, who were awarded the title of "World's Longest Hair Village" by Guinness World Records. The women in this village only cut their hair once in their lifetime at the age of 18.

   

   After the terraced hiking, the delicious bamboo-tube-cooked rice is waiting for you. This is a local specialty cuisine. Put the soaked rice into a bamboo tube and plug the mouth of the tube with fresh bamboo leaves. Cook on the fire for about half an hour, and the rice is ready. When you open the bamboo tube, a refreshing fragrance hits your nose.

6. Day 6: Guilin to Yangshuo by Cruise
   Take a Leisurely Cruise along Li River Featuring Karst Landscape

   In the morning, your private guide will take you to the dock to take a Li River cruise to Yangshuo, which will be a visual feast. The cruise ship moves forward slowly, and the beautiful scenery on both sides unfolds like a painting scroll - with various shapes of strange mountains and rocks, clear river water, and vivid scenes of fishermen casting nets to catch fish. During the 4-hour journey, you can fully enjoy the gifts of nature.

   

   Friendly Tips: You are suggested to have a good breakfast at your hotel and take some snacks, as only a simple box lunch will be provided on the boat.

   After arriving in Yangshuo, take a walk on West Street, which is the busiest street in Yangshuo, nearly 800 meters long. There are many ancient relics preserved here, such as Ming dynasty city walls and stone inscriptions. On both sides of the street, you can see shops selling various handicrafts and authentic cuisine.

   Afterward, we will escort you to a hotel in Yangshuo to check in and rest.

   Optional evening activity (at your own expense): Impression Sanjie Liu performance, using the natural scenery of the Li River as the stage, combined with lighting, music, and dance, showing the customs of the Zhuang ethnic minorities.

7. Day 7: Yangshuo Back to Guilin, Departure
   Marvel at the Colorful Stalagmites and the City Landmark

   Check out of the hotel after breakfast and drive for around 1.5 hours from Yangshuo back to Guilin City. After arrival, take a Guilin city exploration to the amazing Reed Flute Cave, located in the northwest suburbs of Guilin. Inside the cave, stalagmites, stalactites, stone columns, flowers, and curtains come in various shapes, complemented by colorful lighting, like an artistic palace of nature.

   

   After that, head to the Elephant Trunk Hill. The hill got its name after its shape, which resembles a giant elephant using its nose to absorb water. There is the Water Moon Cave between the elephant trunk and legs, and the river flows through it, creating excellent scenery.
