Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Beijing Arrival

   Upon your arrival in Beijing, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative at the airport.

   They will assist you with the transfer to your hotel, ensuring a smooth start to your trip.

   Once you check in at the hotel, take some time to relax and recover from your journey. You can explore the nearby area at your own pace.

2. Day 2: Beijing City Tour
   Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City, Hutongs

   Begin your day with a visit to Tian'anmen Square, one of the most iconic landmarks in Beijing and the world's largest public square. Learn about its historical and cultural significance as you stroll through the vast open space.

   

   Afterward, head to the magnificent Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum. Marvel at its grandeur as you explore its stunning palaces, halls, and courtyards that were once the exclusive domain of the Chinese emperors.

   Next, experience the charm of Beijing's traditional neighborhoods, known as Hutongs. Hop on a traditional rickshaw and be guided through the narrow alleyways, where you'll get a glimpse into the local way of life. Engage with the locals, visit a local family, and gain insights into their daily routines and traditions.

   Optional: If you're interested in Chinese calligraphy, we can arrange a visit to a local family where you can try your hand at this ancient art form. Learn the basic techniques and strokes under the guidance of an expert.

3. Day 3: Beijing Great Wall Tour
   Tai Chi Class, Temple of Heaven, Mutianyu Great Wall

   Start your day with an invigorating Tai Chi class, led by a professional instructor. Discover the principles and movements of this ancient Chinese martial art, which promotes balance, flexibility, and inner harmony.

   

   Afterwards, visit the Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of Ming Dynasty architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore its stunning temple complex, known for its iconic Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and the Circular Mound Altar, where emperors once performed important rituals.

   In the afternoon, embark on an excursion to the Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the best-preserved sections of the wall. Enjoy a scenic chairlift ride up to the wall, where you'll have ample time to walk along its ancient ramparts and soak in the breathtaking views. For added fun, descend the wall on a toboggan ride, providing an exciting way to conclude your Great Wall adventure. However, if you prefer a round-trip cable car ride, we can arrange that as well.

4. Day 4: Beijing - Xi'an
   Summer Palace

Learn about the history of the palace and the emperors who once enjoyed this retreat from the city.

   

   In the afternoon, board a comfortable bullet train from Beijing to Xi'an, which offers a fast and convenient way to travel between the two cities. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery as you speed toward your next destination.

5. Day 5: Xi'an Historical Site Tour
   City Wall, Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Make Mini Terracotta Warriors

   Begin your day by walking along the ancient City Wall of Xi'an, one of the most well-preserved city walls in China. Enjoy panoramic views of the city as you stroll or rent a bicycle to explore its impressive fortifications.

   Next, delve into the world-renowned Terracotta Warriors and Horses, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Marvel at the life-sized terracotta sculptures of soldiers, horses, and chariots that were buried with China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang. You'll have the opportunity to learn about the history and excavation of this incredible site.

   For a unique experience, try your hand at making your own terracotta warrior under the guidance of a skilled craftsman. Create a miniature version to take home as a personalized souvenir, a truly memorable memento of your visit.

6. Day 6: Xi'an - Guilin
   Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi History Museum

7. Day 7: Guilin Tour
   Reed Flute Cave, Chinese Landscape Painting, Daxu Ancient Town

8. Day 8: Guilin - Yangshuo

   After the cruise, visit a local family in Gaotian Village and gain firsthand experience of rural life in China. Observe how the locals carry out their farm work and get a glimpse into their daily routines. If you're up for it, you and your kids can roll up your sleeves and join them in their activities, such as planting or harvesting crops. Alternatively, you can choose from other options such as Chinese cooking classes, rock climbing, or painting.

   Return to the hotel and unwind by the swimming pool, taking in the peaceful surroundings and reflecting on the unique experiences of the day.

9. Day 9: Yangshuo - Shanghai

10. Day 10: Shanghai City Tour
    Yu Garden, The Bund, Shanghai Tower, A Half-day Customized Experience
