  1. So glad to have you on our 10-day China Family Tour! Upon arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport, your guide and driver will warmly welcome you and ensure a smooth transfer to your carefully selected hotel.

    Take advantage of the afternoon to acclimate to this city. You might explore the surroundings, perhaps starting with a leisurely walk through the nearby Wangfujing Street, known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse culinary offerings.

After breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby and we'll drive to the first attraction of the day, Tian'anmen Square, located in the center of Beijing, serving as a symbol of China. The square features prominent structures such as the flagpole, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. The daily flag-raising ceremony in the early morning attracts numerous tourists.

    A few minutes' walk to the north leads to the Forbidden City, once the residence of emperors and now the Palace Museum. It houses a vast collection of precious artifacts, making it a crucial site for understanding China's ancient history and culture. Here, you will experience the grandeur of ancient royal architecture, learn about the lifestyles of the imperial family, and understand the ceremonial protocols through guided explanations.

    After that, we head to a local restaurant to sample some Beijing specialties.

    In the afternoon, our guide will take you to the Summer Palace, a royal garden filled with historical significance and cultural ambiance. Composed of elements such as lakes, hills, and buildings, the Summer Palace showcases the charm of classical gardens. You can take a stroll along the lakeside. Alternatively, climb Longevity Hill to overlook the entire Summer Palace and its beautiful landscapes.   3. It's time for an adventure to the Great Wall! This morning, we'll depart from downtown Beijing and drive north to the Mutianyu Great Wall. It's one of the most famous sections of the Great Wall in China, winding and snaking along the mountain ridges with magnificent views. The middle section of this Great Wall is relatively gentle, making it suitable for children to run around and play freely. Your kids can experience the thrill of a chairlift ascent and toboggan descent.

    Mutianyu is the longest stretch of the Great Wall in Beijing, featuring over 20 watchtowers, with a total length of 5.4 kilometers and a height difference of 600 meters. It offers visitors a variety of hiking routes. Known as the most beautiful section in Beijing, Mutianyu boasts a remarkable 90% forest coverage, creating a stunning natural backdrop that changes colors with the seasons.   4. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and then we'll head to the Temple of Heaven, the largest existing ancient sacrificial complex in China. It stands as an outstanding representation of ancient Chinese garden art, featuring magnificent architecture and profound cultural significance. Here, you can admire famous structures like the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, experiencing the solemnity and mystery of ancient royal sacrificial ceremonies.

    In addition, the Temple of Heaven is surrounded by lush trees and diverse plant species, providing a serene environment for strolls and relaxation. You might even witness locals practicing water calligraphy and Tai Chi against the backdrop of this architectural marvel.

    In the afternoon, transfer to the historic Beijing Hutong where you will experience a traditional rickshaw, gaining insight into the city's ancient alleyways. You will engage in an intimate Chinese Calligraphy Course hosted by a local family.

    After that, you will be escorted to take a comfortable high-speed train journey to the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties - Xian. Upon arrival, a local driver will meet you at the railway station and escort you to your hotel in the city center.

  5. This morning, we will focus on the eighth wonder of the world, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. It takes about 1 hour by car from the hotel to the destination. Upon entering the museum, you will see thousands of terracotta figurines, each uniquely crafted and remarkably lifelike. These figurines are arranged in formation, mirroring an ancient army under the command of Qin Shi Huang.

    In addition to the terracotta soldiers, the pits also contain real artifacts such as chariots and weapons, providing a comprehensive display of the military might of the Qin Dynasty. With the guidance of a tour guide, you'll gain insights into the history and culture of the Qin Dynasty, experiencing the brilliance of ancient Chinese civilization.

    Afterward, you will go to a local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, your children will experience a hands-on mini clay warrior-making. It will be very interesting. The whole process takes about 1-1.5 hours.

    Later in the afternoon, we'll drive back to the city center to visit one of Xi'an's iconic landmarks - the Ancient City Wall. It is one of the most complete ancient city walls still standing in China. On the wall, you can see numerous watchtowers and beacon towers, appreciating the wisdom and craftsmanship of ancient military defense. Take a stroll along the wall, enjoying panoramic views of the entire city, or consider an optional bike ride for an extra fee.

    If time permits, your guide will take you to dive into the vibrant atmosphere of the Muslim Quarter, a sensory journey through local flavors and traditions.

  6. Today your child will experience an educational visit. After breakfast, you will take a guided tour of the Shaanxi History Museum, which is a large, modern museum where visitors can appreciate a wide range of precious artifacts from the Shaanxi region, spanning from ancient times to the present. The exhibits include items such as bronze wares, ceramics, gold and silverware, murals, and more. Not only is the museum's collection extensive, but many of its treasures are designated as national-level cultural relics due to their exceptional quality. Inside the museum, you and your children can delve into the history and culture of the Shaanxi region, experiencing the splendor of ancient Chinese civilization.

  7. After a hearty breakfast, spend your morning at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, an educational and heartwarming experience for the entire family. The Panda Base is the world's largest facility for giant panda breeding. It serves not only as a sanctuary for giant pandas but also as an excellent place for visitors to get up close and learn about these fascinating creatures. You will see giant pandas of different age groups, from newly born cubs to fully grown adults. Furthermore, the base includes an educational area where your children can gain knowledge about the ecological behaviors of giant pandas and related topics.

    In the afternoon, you will explore the peaceful Wenshu Temple, providing a cultural contrast to the morning's panda adventure. Wenshu Temple is the most well-preserved Buddhist temple in the city of Chengdu. The halls, pagodas, bridges, and other structures within the temple showcase exquisite ancient architectural craftsmanship and aesthetics. Here, you will encounter a wealth of Buddhist artifacts, including statues, scriptures, murals, and more.

  8. After breakfast, you will be transferred to take a morning flight to Shanghai, the modern metropolis. Upon arrival, a local driver will escort you to the hotel. After checking in, you can have a good rest or walk around the neighborhood for lunch.

    The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace. Consider starting with a visit to the fascinating Shanghai Ocean Aquarium, followed by a stroll through the trendy Xintiandi District.

  9. This morning's exploration will take you to the historic Yu Garden, a renowned classical garden in the Jiangnan style. It was originally built during the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 460 years. The present-day Yu Garden covers an area of 2 hectares, featuring diverse pavilions, intricate rock formations, and lush greenery. Many foreign political leaders and celebrities have visited Yu Garden, turning it into a cultural symbol of Shanghai. Adjacent to the garden is the Yuyuan Bazaar, where many traditional Chinese buildings are repurposed as commercial shops selling snacks, souvenirs, antiques, and more, making it well worth a visit.

    After that, you will be guided to ascend the Shanghai World Financial Center for a breathtaking panoramic view of the city.

    Nanjing Road is one of Shanghai's most famous shopping streets. In the afternoon, you can shop, taste delicious food, and enjoy street performances here. Later, head to The Bund, a symbol of Shanghai. Take a stroll along the waterfront, appreciate the scenery on both sides, and feel the vibrancy and romance of the city. The Bund is particularly dazzling at night, with the light shows from skyscrapers like the Oriental Pearl Tower and Jin Mao Tower creating a stunning visual spectacle.

  10. Your China family trip will conclude today. After breakfast, the guide will take you to visit a historic Buddhist temple, Jade Buddha Temple. This temple houses two precious jade Buddha statues, representing a valuable heritage of Buddhist culture and art. Here, you can experience tranquility and serenity, immersing yourself in a sense of inner peace.

    Following that, you'll head to Tianzifang, a creative industry zone transformed from Shikumen-style architecture. It gathers numerous artists' studios, galleries, and cafes. Strolling through the narrow lanes of Tianzifang, you can enjoy various art exhibitions, handicrafts, and creative decorations, immersing yourself in a rich artistic atmosphere
