Day-by-day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Beijing
   Mutianyu Great Wall, Temple of Heaven (Lunch)

   AM: Pick up by our English speaking tour guide from your hotel at about 8:30am. And then drive to Mutianyu Great Wall. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings – dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons  of a year. If you want to reach the highest point, cable car is a good choice (optional); shuttle bus is also optional for you to save energy and time.

   Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

   PM: Pay a visit to the Temple of Heaven – the largest ancient imperial worship architecture group in the world where the ancient Emperors prayed for peace and harvest. After the tour, transfer back to hotel around 6:00pm.

2. Day 2: Beijing
   Panda House in Beijing Zoo, Tian’anmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace (Lunch)

   AM: In the morning, our guide will pick you up from hotel lobby and lead you to start today’s tour. This tour starts with Tian’anmen Square. From there you will proceed to the Forbidden City, the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palaces group with 500 years history in the world.

   Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

   PM: Then head to the Panda House in Beijing Zoo. You will see those lovely creatures here. Today’s last stop is the Summer Palace, the largest and most beautiful Chinese imperial garden. It is regarded as a museum of gardens in China. If you would like to experience the boat ride, please just pay for it on spot. You will be sent back to hotel for rest after the visiting.

3. Day 3: Beijing – Xian by Bullet Train

   At about 08:30,  the driver will pick you up from hotel lobby and then escort to train station for bullet train to Xian. (suggested: G429/10:45-16:20).

   Upon you arrival, our Xian local driver will hold a board with your name on it and then send you to your hotel for check in.

4. Day 4: Xian
   Terracotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Lunch)

   AM: In the morning, you will be picked up by our guide and then go to visit the famous Terracotta Warriors. Known as “the eighth Wonders of the world”and one of the most significant archaeological discoveries in the 20th century, the museum shows a surprisingly high level in sculpture. The splendid battle formation will leave you an impressive memory.

   Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

   PM: In the afternoon, come to Big Wild Goose Pagoda.  a sacred place for worshiping Buddha. The pagoda was originally built to preserve sutras and figures of Buddha that Xuanzang brought back to China from India in the Tang Dynasty. Now there is a big Garden around Big Wild Goose Pagoda where people can have a nice walk. Finally, sent back to hotel.

5. Day 5: Xian – Guilin by Flight
   Ancient City Wall, Great Mosque, Bell & Drum Tower Square, Muslim Quarter (Lunch)

   AM: Pick up from your hotel lobby to start today’s tour. The first site is the famous Ancient City Wall which functioned as military defense in the ancient time. It’s the best preserved city wall in China. Next, come to visit the Great Mosque where you will learn local Muslim culture. Then continue to explore the interesting Bell & Drum Tower Square–Muslim Quarter to find the authentic local snacks and handy-crafts.

   Noon: Lunch in local restaurant.

   PM: Transfer to airport for your flights to Guilin. Our Guilin driver will wait for you at the airport by holding a sign, then transfer to hotel to check in.

6. Day 6: Guilin - Yangshuo by Cruise
   Lijiang Cruise, Xijie Street (Lunch)

   AM: Today is the highlight of your Guilin tour as you will embark on a ship to cruise down the picturesque Li River!

   Taking the cruise on the Li River, you will admire the picturesque scenery of this land with a harmonious combination of the green hills, rivers, lakes and fields. But its beauty is not like a still painting, it’s alive when vivid – brisk bamboo rafts leaving wrinkles on the water and cormorants hovering under the working fishermen… Our guide will uncover the hidden history and culture behind the natural screen before you during your cruise. You will learn from the local expert about how the city formed and developed and how local people manage their life along the famous Li River.

   Friendly Tips: The Li River Cruise takes around 4 hours, and you will be staying on the boat to enjoy the scenery for most time, so 3-star boat as included would be  adequate according to most tourists’ experience. Besides, you are suggested to have a good breakfast at your hotel and take some snack as there will be only simple box lunch be provided on the boat.

   Noon: Lunch on cruise ship.

   After the 4 hours’ cruise, you will disembark at Yangshuo. Follow your guide to explore the famous Yangshuo West Street to admire the antique buildings and local crafts, hanging out in bars and coffee shops, and try some delicious local snacks.

   Last, transfer to Yangshuo local hotel for overnight.

7. Day 7: Guilin Departure
   Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill, Fubo Hill, Seven Star Park (Lunch)

   AM: After hotel pickup at around 08:30 the city sightseeing will start! The first stop will be Elephant Trunk Hill. The hill located at joint point of Peach River and Li River is the symbol of Guilin City. Afterwards, head to Fubo Hill which towers in the river. Climbing up to the hilltop you will have an overlook of Guilin City.

   Noon: Lunch in a local restaurant.

   PM: Then continue the tour to Reed Flute Cave, one of the top famous Karst Caves in China. The last top will be Seven Star Park, the best park in Guilin City where you will appreciate great work including hills, rivers, courtyards, architecture, and cultural relics.

   Finally, you will be dropped off at the airport or train station for your departure flight. Your 7-day Beijing Xian Guilin tour ends here!
