Beijing Railway Station is located in the city center, having been established during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. As the oldest train station in Beijing, it has been in operation for 121 years. Currently, it has eight platforms and 16 tracks serving several important regular and high-speed rail lines, such as the Beijing-Shanghai Railway, Beijing-Harbin Railway.

How to Get to Beijing Railway Station
The Subway Line 2 can take passengers to the station directly. If transfer from other lines, you can transfer to Subway Line 2 at Jianguomen and DongzhimenĀ Stations.
Also, visitors can reach Beijing Railway Station directly by several bus routes, including special lines 2, 43, 93, 637, and 638. These bus routes have stops at both the east and west squares of Beijing Railway Station.
From the two airports in Beijing, visitors can take Capital Airport Shuttle Bus Line 3, Capital Airport Shuttle Bus Xidan Night Line, Daxing Airport Bus Line to Beijing Railway Station or the Wangjing Night Line to reach the station.

Beijing West Railway StationĀ (å京脿ē«)
Location: No. 118, Lianhua East Road, Fengtai District, on the side of West Third Ring Road
Role: The gateway to southern and northern China
Opened in 1996, Beijing West Railway Station is the busiest and most used railway station to travel toĀ Beijing. The structure of the station features a traditional Chinese city gate tower style and has been recognized as a new landmark of Beijing in 2007.
Currently, the station has 10 platforms and 20 tracks, serving trains heading towards southwestern, western, and southern regions of China. As a central hub of the Jing-Guang (Beijing-Guangzhou), Jing-Jiu (Beijing-Jiujiang), and Jing-Yuan (Beijing-Yuan) lines, Beijing West Railway Station primarily operates high-speed train services connecting Beijing with Shijiazhuang, Wuhan, Changsha, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu, Nanning, Kunming, Xi’an, and others.

- The first basement floor is the subway integrated hall, which serves as the transfer station hall and the entrance/exit station hall. The second basement floor is the platform level for Lines 7 and 9.

- Taxi waiting area: P1&P2 parking lots of the North Square, the first drop-off area of Guanglian Road on the South Square

How to Get to Beijing West Railway Station
You can take Subway Line 7 or Line 9 and get off at the West Station. Or, take bus Special Line 2, Special Line 6, and routes 301, 320, 373, 374, 387, 40, 47, 52, 65, 661, 662, 663, 673, 694, 96, and Yuntong Line 102 to reach the station.
For the two airports, visitors can take airport bus lines: Capital Airport Beijing West Railway Station Line or the Daxing International Airport (Beijing West Railway Station Line) to reach the station directly.

Role:Ā The main station for the high-speed trains in Beijing
As the first large-scale, high-standard modern transportation hub in China, Beijing South Railway Station has 535 trains passing through every day, making it the station with the highest number of trains in Beijing. It boasts 24 tracks and 13 platforms, which was divided into three sections: normal-speed train section, high-speed train station and intercity section.
As the starting point for the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway and Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway, Beijing South Railway Station mainly operates trains heading to Tianjin, Jinan, Qingdao, Nanjing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Fuzhou, and more.
Main Services and Facilities:
- The first basement floor serves as the transfer hall/station concourse; the east and west sides are respectively the fast entry and exit concourses. The north and south ends are the exit passages leading to the north and south squares on the ground level.
- Beijing MetroLine 4 is located on the second basement level, while Metro Line 14 is on the third basement level.
- The north side of the south square provides drop-off services for all vehicles. Passengers can go through security checks and enter the station nearby after getting off.
